Wonderful house in a beautiful location right on the creek with great facilities including a kayak and easy access to the water either side of high tide.Really good place to stay and explore west Cornwall from but also a lovely quiet location to relax and enjoy the views from the living room and extensive outdoor space.Fiona was really helpful and communication was great throughout our stay, we had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
This property is in a beautiful location in the Truro area. There was ample space for my family of 6 adults. Plenty of parking space. The charming creek views surrounded by nature and beauty were perfect for a family break.. and bird watching!
The views from the Boathouse are beautiful emphasised with amazing sunrises and sunsets. This was the perfect place for our 3 generation family gathering. Ample room with over sized bedrooms for everyone to relax. Location was perfect to explore all of west Cornwall making travel times short so we are spending our time at the destination not in the car to it!!Fiona and Dave are fantastic hosts, easy to communicate with and extremely organized. This is a wonderful very well appointed house.
Such a beautiful home right on the river. We stayed as a group of friends after our wedding and it could not have been better. Easy contactless check-in, and were able to get in easy. Good communication via text from the owner. Great kitchen facilities and at the property in general, including use of the kayak and BBQ. Sitting on the decking or in the living room and watching the birds will stay with me a very long time. Hopefully we will be back some day!

The Boat House is an amazing property !!
The location of the house is excellent and central to lots of places. The house itself is not like a holiday home, it feels more like you are staying in someone's actual home as there is everything there that you could ever need. The view from the house changes on a daily basis as the tide comes in and out and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The trampoline outside was a big hit with the kids who bounced all week long. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next year !!!!
We had a fantastic stay at the Boathouse.and cannot wait to come back. The house is beautiful, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. We couldn't fault anything about the property or location and the owners were very helpful, if we needed advice or assistance. The beds are really comfortable and it was such a lovely place to completely unwind. There were lots of games and books, that the children enjoyed and they loved exploring the creek. The location is great for both the north and south coast beaches and there was plenty to do locally. The bike trails were amazing, miles of off-road family friendly trails, Our only complaint is that none of us wanted to leave!!
We had a fantastic stay at the Boathouse. Amazing views up the creek and a lovely place to stay. All the rooms were large and beautifully kept. The bedrooms were all really comfortable and stylish. The location is perfect for getting around (especially if you're not a fan on tiny Cornish roads) with a great bus route if you don't want to park the car in Truro or Falmouth. One of the group hired a bike from Bissoe to cycle the trails coast to coast.
There were plenty of games to keep a family entertained and the kitchen was really well equipped.
The hosts were helpful and clear with instructions. Honestly can't recommend it enough.
We have no problem with the property or owners.
Our issues are entirely with VRBO as they give false information in their details describing the accommodation, such as detailing that there is a spa/hot tub and 3 bathrooms, when in fact, there is 1 bathroom, and 1 en suite shower room and 1 downstairs toilet. There is no spa or hot tub at all.
We were all thoroughly dissapointed not to have the use of a hot tub and the washing facilities were not ideal for 8 people. This situation got so difficult for the owner as she tried so hard to resolve this problem while we were there, but eventually gave up and has now taken her property off your website. We have attempted to speak to one of your representatives on our return home, but it was conveniently disconnected.
You keep sending us details of further holiday options for the future, but I cannot think of any reason why we or anybody else would wish to book through you, when you treat your clients so badly. It would be good to be able to discuss this further, but it would appear that the company are not willing to deal with any negative feedback regarding your lack of professionalism.
A really lovely home. Well provided with everything one needs. Fiona and David, our hosts, welcomed us with a delicious home baked cake, fresh flowers in every room and a bottle of wine. We explored, walked, cycled, kayaked, paddle boarded and swam, but most important of all, just relaxed and enjoyed the ever changing views of the creek. Frankly, we didn't want to leave!
We had such a lovely week at the Boathouse. The waterside location was just what we wanted. We were able to launch a small boat. Easy access to the creeks and the Pandora. Only 20 minutes by car to Perranporth and the North Coast for surfing and back for a BBQ by the water. House was clean with good facilities and very light. Outside space excellent for just chilling or more strenuous exercise. Very relaxing to watch the water birds and tide come in and out. A wonderful base for a memorable week!
We had the most amazing holiday at the boathouse!! The house itself was fantastic everything we could have wished for and more, so spacious with 2 families staying, the views were fabulous, Fiona was so helpful, we would definitely love to come back here.
Beautiful house, stunning views. Easy to reach other areas of Cornwall, but really there is no need to leave the property. Quiet, comfortable and directly on the Creek, so Kayaking possible every high tide. Hope to return again.
Really wonderful place to stay, so peaceful with awesome views from the deck. The children loved playing on the jetty and we all enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding. The cycle trail to Portreath is just on the doorstep too. Very spacious house for the 7 of us.

Fabulous home in a magical setting
this was our second time staying at the Boathouse. It is a perfect property for us as an extended family. Location and views are tremendous, we can kayak off the back of the property and the location is perfect for bodyboarding on the north coast, and exploring and kayaking on the south coast. Owners are very friendly, and want your holiday to be the best it can. House itself is well presented and fully equipped.

The Boathouse in Devoran - A fabulous holiday home
The Boathouse is a great family retreat in a peaceful location overlooking the creek. We felt totally at home and relaxed during our stay here. The house is very spacious, light and airy with beautiful views from all the windows. The kitchen/diner is extremely well-equipped and separate laundry and store rooms are a great addition. The large lounge and snug room means that there is plenty of room for a large family to spread out! The whole house is clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The location is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall (being close to the A39) or just relaxing on the decking in the sunshine. The lovely local pub is a short walk away and serves good food. We had a wonderful holiday in Devoran and would highly recommend this property.

Lovely relaxing time. Fantastic views and great swims in the river in front of the house. Great kick around of football on the samphire pitch across the river. House very well catered didn't need anything that wasn't there. Nice local pub to walk to if you don't fancy cooking. Proper coffee machine much appreciated. would happily return.

A great house in a gorgeous location. Stayed for a week and couldn't have been happier. The house has everything you need and is so bright and spacious. The kids loved the location and spend hours on the trampoline and around the waters edge. Owners were very helpful and communication was great.

A Great Wedding Week at The Boathouse
We loved the Boathouse, its homey feel and fabulous views and it was so conveniently located for our sons wedding at the Devoran Quay. The house is spacious and bright with constantly changing views along the creek. It was very comfortable for our family of 8 plus baby, and we had a very relaxing time out and about taking in the local beaches and lovely coastal villages of .southern Cornwall.
