This two-bedroom villa is conveniently located just 150 yards from the beach. The unit is completely renovated, new tile throughout; granite counters in the kitchen and baths; new cabinets throughout, with all new furnishings. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the dining area and living room. The dining area seats six. The living room has a sleeper sofa, oversized chairs, TV, and slider to the balcony.

The first bedroom has a king bed, TV, and remodeled private bath with shower and tub. The second bedroom has a king bed with TV, and a private oversized, remodeled shower. The balcony overlooks the garden and small lagoon with a table and four chairs.

Overall good stay. A few things could be improved in room. Washing machine broke and I realize these things happen but communication with getting repairman there could definitely have been better. The home was well appointed and comfortable. Location was perfect. The shower drain in master was slow that when you showered you were in standing water. Bought Draino but didn’t help. Sheets were well used and rough and towels for bathing were thin.

We had a relaxing week and enjoyed the complex and unit. The grounds were lovely and the view was nice from the balcony. The villa has all the amenities that we needed. The main door latch would stick sometimes and the ceiling fan in the master was noisy. The mattress in the master was very firm but we managed to sleep. Overall a positive experience.

We had a great week at the beach! The Barrington complex is so nice and well kept. We really enjoyed being so close to the pool, hot tub and beach. Our unit Barrington 606 was perfect. The unit has been updated and was the nicest we have stayed in. We were amazed at the quality of the contents of the kitchen. The only thing and we mean the only thing we would like to have had was a Kuerig coffee maker. Thank you to the Island Getaway staff and the owners of this unit.

We have stayed in this unit several times. It has become a family favorite. It has recently been updated with fun decor from the area which gives it a great beachy feel. The unit is very nice and has a great layout. I find the location perfect. It's a short walk to the beach and right by the bike paths. I love the deck off the back that overlooks the fountain pond.

Minor Hot Water Inconvenience

Our stay began in unit #606 Barrington in Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head Island, SC. Unfortunately, we recognized immediately the hot water was not working properly. Maintenance attempts to correct the situation in the first three days of our stay were unsuccessful in resolving. I finally requested that we be moved to another unit for the balance of the week at no cost to us and that we should be compensated to some extent due to this deficiency for the time already stayed. The rental company was able to move us immediately to another unit, actually slightly larger and nicer, as well as provide gift cards to provide for a couple nice meals for the balance of our stay. I'm grateful for the way the rental company worked with us, although I believe they could have acted faster and of their own volition rather than me having to request the change. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful.
