Just one small negative. For older people like us, the steps up to the entrance were a little bit difficult. That apart, we had a lovely stay and can't wait to go back.

We love the location of Acorn Lodge with walks onto Latrigg and Skiddaw straight from the door and Keswick town centre only a 15 minute walk away. The lodge provided everything we needed, was warm and cosy and has been cleaned to a very high standard. We cannot fault Acorn Lodge and would definitely like to return in the future.

Very well equipped and comfortable lodge.
Very well equipped and comfortable lodge. Excellent location for Keswick and the local area. Bed was comfortable. It took us a little while to find the switch for the towel rail in the bathroom but that is the only minor issue we found. Hoping to return in the near future.

The lodge was clean and tidy but dated and the lodges were close together.
The lodge was clean and tidy but dated and the lodges were close together. The site is in an excellent location. There is no children's park or amenities I would certainly use the site again price depending. There was no WiFi in the lodge which you kind of expect in this day and age so was limited to phone connection. Enjoyable week because the weather was excellent not sure if the weather was poor.

Beautiful lodge in a picturesque location.
Beautiful lodge in a picturesque location. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean too. There was space for one car at the front of the lodge. It is in a super location just a short walk from Keswick. It was wonderful to make use of the seating on the veranda early morning and in an evening after a day of walking and listen to the sound of running water and sheep in the next field, so relaxing.
The Pheasant pub just a short walk past the roundabout serves good tasty food if you dont want to venture too far. You can walk along the riverside into Keswick too if you take a left turn where the cricket club car park is. There is also a good route to Lartigg, if you turn right from Burnside Park entrance, up to the gate on the right, then go through 3 fields to the gate that goes into the woodland where the walk up starts. Worth a visit for the fantastic views of Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Water too.
Also a point to note is that Tesco and Asda do food deliveries to the park which would be really useful if you didnt want to bring your own or waste time shopping for groceries.

Very good location for Keswick and also to surrounding areas - although close to A66 it was very quiet and peaceful with no traffic noise. We found the site easily from the instructions and the lodge was very well equipped. We had no need to contact anyone as everything worked fine.
Highly recommended - our two small dogs really enjoyed it too.
(Also highly recommended is Booth's supermarket in Keswick for food)

Lovely quiet park.
Lovely quiet park. Our first holiday since our dog had a full front leg amputation in November...and he absolutely loved it. He found his lake legs in Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite. The lodge, park, location was good. The only issue we had was the bed, my partner was suffering from a bad shoulder and he felt the bed was really uncomfortable...other than that it was good ?
