Excellent hosts, nothing too much trouble and very informative.
Excellent hosts, nothing too much trouble and very informative. Local amenities are plentiful and very close by, although I would not recommend this for anyone frail as a steep hill has to be climbed and parking in Richmond can be limited at times. I would recommend that the owners invest in a new settee as this can be a bit uncomfortable, we used pillows to sit on.

Jacqui and Roger welcomed us to their lovely cottage, which is located a short walk out of the town and close to several good walks along the river. The cottage is clean with a well equipped kitchen and is very cosy.
Negative comments would be regarding the not so comfortable beds and settee, also the TV and DVD player have seen better days. The bathroom is a bit small and is in need of some refurbishment.
We would recommend Holly Cottage for a short break in a lovely part of the country.

Holly Cottage is a delightful bolt hole for a holiday.
Holly Cottage is a delightful bolt hole for a holiday.
The cottage is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean and well equipped with all the essentials needed for a home from home. The view from the apartment is stunning, with Richmond Castle in direct view!
Richmond is a wonderful Georgian market town, with many eateries and independent shops. The town is perfectly placed for exploring North Yorkshire, with York only around d 50 mins away by car.
All in all the ideal getaway!
