This detached, 19th century cottage, complete with wood-burning stove, is in a picturesque location in Monmouthshire.. 3 steps to entrance.

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Z-Bed (Flexible Sleeping Only)

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Small wild garden with decking area. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: No children under 5 years old. There are streams, a waterfall and vertical rock face in the garden. There is an unfenced river 10 yards from the property. This property has a natural water supply from a spring.. This early 19th-century stone holiday cottage stands detached on the banks of the River Wye in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Outside there is a decking area surrounded by a wild garden with streams and waterfalls. Well placed for walking and for exploring the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, it is also within easy driving distance of Tintern, Monmouth, Chepstow, Ross-on-Wye and Symonds Yat. Pub next door. Shop 300 yards, pub 5 yards.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, everything you could wish for. Really clean, comfortable and warm, right next door to a traditional old pub ! What more could you ask for?

Fantastic cottage in great location.

Fantastic cottage in great location. The cottage is immaculate and so comfortable. Log burner is great (in fact 2 log burners) with logs in outdoor log store. Brilliant pub next door that serves lovely food and ales and the locals are so friendly. The location is amazing as its right on the river and the night skies are so clear. We had a power cut one evening but even that's not a problem. We parked over the bridge as that seemed easier than negotiating the tight lanes on the welsh side and had no problems leaving the car overnight in a pretty deserted car park. Would love to return here as its the perfect chill out place. Cant think of anything negative at all. Close to supermarket just before getting into Monmouth - 10 mins drive.

This was the second time we had been here. It's in a lovely location and a good place to explore the Forest of Dean and South & Mid Wales. A car would be essential for most people. For some people the lack of internet connection may be an issue 'though wifi is available at the pub next door. For others it's great for a digital detox. Would definitely go back again.

Great location, parking on road but no problem with this. Walks from the door to Monmouth, Tintern along the river, Newlands and Redbrook over the bridge. Very good dog friendly pub next door with garden. Cottage spacious for 4. Very steep steps to decking area. Overall ideal spot and would return.

Lovely little cottage, a little dark inside but this is obviously due to the nature of the location.

Lovely little cottage, a little dark inside but this is obviously due to the nature of the location. Everything we needed. The steep steps outside are not for the faint hearted and I wouldn’t trust myself to go up and down them many times. Really lovely spot next to the bridge. Pub food a little basic and dated but was given a warm welcome. Great for a weekend away
