A very Comfortable and enjoyable few days. We liked the two outside sitting areas, one in shade and the other in sun with splendid views. Although the approach was quite steep, at 81 years of age we found it perfectly manageable.

For us, Wirksworth is the place to be.
For us, Wirksworth is the place to be.
We’ve visited before and are familiar with the local cinema, but it was our first stay at The Wee House on the Hill.
What a sheer delight it is! It is full of character but with all modern conveniences, and all very tastefully furnished and decorated. There wasn’t a scuffed wall or dusty skirting board in sight!
Thoroughly recommended.

Great cottage, but not for the faint hearted, as a steep climb to get there.

If you can do the climb, the scenery is fantastic
