This fabulous, detached holiday property is situated just a mile from the charming village of Wedmore, known for its abundance of shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Lodge serves as a great base for exploring this picturesque part of the country. Nearby, you’ll find the historic city of Wells with its famous cathedral and Bishops Palace, the mystical town of Glastonbury, and the stunning Cheddar Gorge with its fascinating caves. Additionally, Bath is only an hour’s drive away, offering attractions such as the Roman baths and Thermae Spa.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location, well equipped with all you need. very clean and tidy. Owner was very helpful. Only negatives were uncomfortable bed with pillows that had seen better days and a sinking sofa. could benefit from a hook in bathroom and a decent mirror near a plug but these are minor details. not really safe to walk anywhere, but good base to get to all the places of interest.

Great property with excellent facilities.

Great property with excellent facilities. The pictures really do not do it justice, it’s got a huge kitchen and really well equipped. With regards exploring the region, it is really well placed (I don’t think I did any more than 100 miles all week). If I had one small negative note it would be that the nearest local shops are in Wedmore which is around 2 miles away so although we did walk down a couple of times, it’s not something you would do on a daily basis. Would highly recommend 👍

Situated in a beautiful, idyllic and peaceful location, The Lodge is absolutely a home away from home. It is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our break away. A lovely enclosed garden was perfect for our dog on his first holiday. The kitchen diner is huge and has all that we needed. The living room was lovely and comfy, as were the bedrooms. The bathroom has plenty of space, the only improvement I would suggest would be a more powerful shower (although the one installed is lovely and warm). Clare met us on arrival with a warm and friendly welcome, suggesting possible places to visit and told us to get in touch should we have any issues.......we didn't. The Lodge is ideally situated for visiting the many places this beautiful county has to offer. We will definitely be returning to The Lodge.
