Set within landscaped grounds, Villa El Maiten has a large, beautiful kidney shaped swimming pool with spectacular sea and countryside views of both Portugal and Spain.
Set over three levels, the villa is spacious, light, comfortably furnished and private.
The villa is fully fitted with air conditioning and heating throughout.
Features include open fireplace, vast split level open plan living and dining area with bar facility, marble staircase, modern kitchen, 3 double bedrooms with stunning balcony views, 2 modern bathrooms, cloakroom and basement area. One of the villa s special features is the fully furnished, split-level basement area, this area is also fitted with air conditioning and heating, with an open plan kitchen, 1 large bedroom that sleeps 4 people and 1 modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Large patio doors lead from the basement area the terraced garden.
The villa s purpose built BBQ area is perfect for dining al fresco with a shaded outdoor dining area, surrounded by captivating views with seating for up to 10 people. Also outside, are sun loungers for the pool area. The villa has private parking for 4 cars, and is only 3km from Altura Beach and 1km from Monte Rei golf course. WIFI is free and unlimited.

Very spacious villa in a good location although that assumes you rent a car. Really nice pool area with great view. Everything we needed for a great holiday.

O check-in foi rápido e fácil. Gostámos da casa, está bem equipada. A única coisa que lhe falta em termos de equipamento é a máquina de lavar louça (para uma casa com 10 hóspedes, é algo que ajuda imenso).A piscina é agradável. Alguns dos mini azulejos laterais estão a saltar, mas nada que não possam resolver.A ligação da TV na sala de estar tinha alguns problemas de ligação (com falhar de som e imagem de curta duração). A internet funcionava bem.A mesa para comer lá fora era muito agradável (talvez se pudesse adicionar mais um foco de luz para essa mesa)No geral, gostámos muito da casa.

Très belle maison spacieuse avec piscines magnifique. Très calme et très belle vu sur la campagne et la mer. Nous avons passés de très bons moments et avons pu visité toute la côte de l'est à l'ouest. C'était vraiment top. Les propriétaires très réactif.

Villa Altura

The property is in a great location and a beautiful part of Portugal, we had a great fortnight here but the property itself lacks attention to detail. Sleeps 10 but only has 8 sun beds for by the pool 2 of which were falling apart and not fit for purpose, the outside area needs a bit of attention all the chairs were old and tables scruffy and the larger table is a squeeze for 10! Would benefit from a dishwasher for a villa this size and the bathrooms are all in need up updating. Overall we loved our holiday and would definitely recommend that part of Portugal.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you claim two of the sun beds were damaged, however we can assure you, that they were in perfect condition when you arrived. If you had let us know, that the sun beds were broken during your stay, we would have replaced them immediately, regardless. Unfortunately, some people think it’s a good bit of sport to be a little nasty on the internet. It’s almost like everyone wants to be AA Gill and they think that being unpleasant gets them read. As owners, we take great pride in providing an attractive holiday home and client satisfaction is key to how we operate.

Casa em Altura

A casa é demasiado cara para as condições que oferece. Os quartos não tem ar condicionado, a cozinha está mal equipada - não tem máquina da louça nem varinha mágica e, numa casa onde podem dormir 10 pessoas (ou mais) existiam 4 chávenas de café! As portas têm folga e portanto, batiam insistentemente quando se tentava abrir janelas ou postigos para refrescar. A casa de banho da suite é toda envidraçada para o exterior, o que faz com que seja uma verdadeira estufa e que deixa ver quem está na casa de banho . Não tivemos oportunidade de conhecer nenhum responsável pela casa, já que ninguém nos contactou, presencialmente ou pelo telefone. Muito mais poderia dizer, mas remato com: A mim não me apanham lá outra vez!

Gostamos da casa .. Estava bem localizada embora que por estar no cimo , quando há vento ouve se com muita intensidade dentro de casa .. A piscina bem tratada. A cozinha deveria ter máquina de lavar loiça e máquina de café e varinha mágica A ventilação nos quartos superiores e deficiente , em períodos de muito calor não é com ventoinhas que se consegue suportar A casa de banho do quarto principal parecia uma sauna pelo quer será necessário colocar cortinas ou pelicula refletora No contexto global é uma boa casa para se passar uma semana de férias mas teria a ganhar se conseguisse corrigir as falhas acima apontadas

Agradável mas...

Fotografias da casa muito boas comparativamente ao estado geral. A casa é boa, no entanto muito datada (seria bom investir numa remodelação), é quente (não tem AC nos quartos) e as ventoinhas não proporcionam o conforto necessário. Desde o primeiro dia que as visitas de formigas eram constantes, pese embora o nosso cuidado com a proteção dos alimentos, tendo inclusivamente aparecido baratas na cozinha. As formigas até no piso superior apareciam. Deveriam fazer uma desinfestação. Na WC do piso térreo a torneira da água fria não funciona. Na WC da suite é uma aventura utilizá-la à tarde, pois a temperatura é muito alta. Deveriam colocar alguma proteção. Piscina boa, bem cuidada. A vista da casa é muito agradável e relaxante. A comunicação com o proprietário foi sempre boa. As senhoras da limpeza fizeram um serviço muito bom. Experiência, infelizmente, a não repetir.

Obrigado pelos seus comentários, no entanto, só é preciso ler os comentários dos clientes anteriores, especialmente dos clientes que fizeram check-out no mesmo dia em que o senhor chegou, para ver o quão falsos e contraditórios são os seus comentários. Por exemplo, elogiaste o trabalho da equipa de limpeza, mas descreveste a má limpeza da casa por causa dos insetos. É essencial para nós providenciarmos uma moradia limpa e confortável e por isso asseguramos que a moradia seja devidamente limpa para cada cliente. Quando nos contatou sobre os insetos, a equipa de limpeza foi enviada para a villa imediatamente. Eles ficaram desapontados com o seu nível de higiene e então entenderam porque havia insetos aparecendo em questão de 2 dias de sua chegada ... comida nao tapado, pratos sujos, lixeiras abertas e bagunça geral, etc. Quando fizeste o check-out, a equipa de limpeza encontrou a villa no pior estado deixado por um cliente e levou 20 horas de limpeza para que a villa voltasse ao padrão de check-in, o dobro das horas de limpeza normalmente necessárias. As fotos são atuais e precisas à descrição da moradia. Eles mostram exatamente o que é oferecido, uma casa confortável para desfrutar das férias.

Propriedade espaçosa em zona muito tranquila

Moradia isolada mas a 5minutos de carro para praias e zonas comerciais. Boa áreas, divide-se em 3 pisos, excelente para famílias numerosas, muito arejada, com muita luminosidade; cozinha com equipamentos novos e com os utensílios necessários. Piscina grande e profunda com espreguiçadeiras para aproveitar o sol (foi feita limpeza e manutenção a meio da semana) Em resumo a estadia foi muito boa. Lovely place for large family holiday

The villa is fantastic placed with a gorgeous view of the Altura, Vila Nova de Cacela, Monte Gordo, Vila Real de Santo António, Guadiana river and even Ayamonte in Spain. Very spacious rooms and outside has a very large swimming pool where we spent lots of time playing with kids and cooling down due to days and nights were very hot. It has a table outside which is large enough for 9 of us. Deeply recommended for a relaxing and fun family holiday!!

Meet our expectations

The house is very spacious, with a big living room, 2 bedrooms with king / queen beds, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a spacious bedroom on the basement with 3 beds (2 single and 1 queen). 2 baby cots are available. Air conditioning is only available at the basement, but would be perfect if available in all the other house divisions. The house is very good, but is not recommended for small babies, because of the several stairs. The space outside is pleasant, but a little bite windy, because the house is in a high place. The swimming pool is big and clean, but you only have foot in a small part of it. The pool has no net around. Nearby you have D. Rodrigo restaurant, which has good and tasty food. You have to go to the beach by car, but it will take you only 10 minutes... We have enjoyed 1 week in this house.

Great villa and Altura was lovely.

We stayed at this villa for a week, there were 5 adults and 3 children and we had plenty of space. The villa itself was far better than the pictures I had seen, the pool and the grounds were far bigger than I had expected. We had forgotten a few things, as you do, but the villa was equipped with everything you could ask for. The intermarche was a 5 minute drive away and the Hub of Altura was also only 5 minutes away, as are the best beaches, I think in the Algarve. The amenities in the villa all worked perfectly and there was a lovely outside area to eat at night. Mark and Agnes were extremely helpful from my first enquiry to my return home from the trip, with my breakages deposit being returned straight away. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone going to Altura.

The perfect place to stay.

This is a fantastic place to stay and relax on holiday. As it had everything we needed, we only left the villa a few times to go to pick up provisions and go to the nearby beach (which is also recommended). The pool got a lot of use during the week, but the whole villa is a joy to be in, beautifully designed and kept in immaculate condition. It was a total pleasure to stay at Ville El Maiten, easily one of the best holidays I have ever had and that was echoed by all of our group, adults and kids alike!

Ideal family villa

The Villa was excellent, spacious and comfortable, beautiful surroundings, the pool and cleaning were impeccable. It has an immense garden with gorgeous fruit trees. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to all. The nearby restaurant (less than a 10 minute walk) – serves fabulous food and amazing wine at an incredible value. The beach is a short drive from the Villa and is super clean and pretty. Lovely little towns and villages nearby to go for coffee and delicious cakes. It is super easy to rent cheap bicycles to explore the area, there are also markets in nearby villages and a water park within easy driving distance. A very relaxing and fun holiday.

Great Villa in a terrific setting

A wonderful week! The villa is secluded in a very quiet and peaceful setting with amazing sea and countryside views, perfect for a relaxing holiday. The villa is very large and there's plenty of outdoor space for children to run around. The private pool is amazing! A great size and very clean. Most importantly, it's fully gated so no worries with young kids. Although the villa is secluded, it is located only 5 minutes away from the beautiful town of Altura which has a wonderful beach. We took the kids to the usual Algarve attractions (Aqualand/Zoomarine) which are less than an hours drive. A final thanks to the amazing owner who is a spectacular host. Very welcoming, very friendly, and gave us great advice on where to go and what to do. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, I'd certainly recommend this villa.

Nice villa with great Swimming pool

W enjoyed an amazing week at this villa. Firstly the villa is perfect in every way and suited our family of 6. The villa was clean, safe and was beyond our expectations. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm every day, great for the end of September. The area is idyllic, set in a nature reserve with plenty of outdoor space to bike or explore on foot if this is your thing. We visited two beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive from the villa and there are the usual restaurants, bars and odd shop locally too, the restaurant just below the villa is one of the best in the area. Lidl is close by and another larger local supermarket if you plan to cook at home which was perfect when staying with children as we didn't eat out often. In fact the children were happy to stay at the villa, splash in the lovely pool and explore the garden. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone and we will be staying again as the pool is a welcome addition and really made our holiday. Thanks to the owners who were available at the end of the phone to direct us to the villa and attend to our needs.
