About this property

Charming Cottage Within Walking Distance to Downtown Brevard & Brevard College.

The Appletree Cottage is a charming cottage located adjacent to Brevard College & within walking distance of scenic downtown Brevard, NC. The house boasts a spacious great room with a large screen TV and plenty of comfortable seating for large groups, as well as a fully-outfitted kitchen & outdoor deck with grill. The first floor contains 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and a TV and one with a daybed and trundle. One full bath w/ tub & shower is located on the main floor off of the main hallway. Another half bath is located in the bedroom that has the trundle bed. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, one with a king bed, one w/ a queen bed, and one w/ a full bed. All of the bedrooms have a TV. Additionally, the master bedroom (w/ the king bed) has a private full bath w/ a shower. Another full bath w/ shower is located in the upstairs hallway. A full-size washer & dryer are located in the basement.

Our cabins are provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, firewood and propane for the grill.

This is a large, comfortable home with a few updates needed. The outside decks and paint need refreshing. The bathrooms are beautiful, new and updated. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The kitchen needs a few updates (pots and pans are old) but overall is great. The home is very conveniently located near downtown.

I would give this house a better than 5 star rating. It was perfect for the 7 adult guests that stayed here. We had a great time staying in Brevard and this home definitely attributed to our wonderful trip. It was such a large home that my family of 6 adults felt spaced out enough away from each other while still being around each other. The living room had plenty of room and the neighborhood is safe and homey. This is a great place to stay at.

We are the Sykes family, & we have had vacation property in Brevard for about 12 years. Eight years ago, we decided to move with our three children from ATL to Brevard permanently, & our quality of life has gone through the roof. After about a year, we decided to list our vacation homes on VRBO so that we could share them w/ visitors coming to our beautiful county. Several years later, we purchased an 84-acre farm that we have lovingly restored to it's former glory. We became aware that there was a growing interest in rental properties located within walking distance of downtown Brevard. Many tourists prefer to be near the local shops, restaurants, and breweries. We found this house and decided it was perfect for what we had in mind.

This house has numerous things going for it. The main one is the location...it is situated adjacent to Brevard College and within walking distance of downtown Brevard. You can arrive, park your car, and walk to our many wonderful shops, restaurants, breweries, and movie theater. Additionally, it can accommodate larger parties due to its size (5BRs, 3.5 Ba), so it is perfect for large families, cycling groups, and retreats.
