Modern beach house in private setting on hillside above quiet sheltered beach. Glorious views of Pacific Ocean. Staircase and steps to a safe, sandy beach ideal for swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kayaking etc. Well appointed with modern furniture, timber floors, kitchen with all mod cons. Only 30 mins drive east and north of Whangarei CBD.
Suit one, two (or max three) couples or small family. Not suitable large group or dogs.

What a wonderful long weekend we had in this bach at Waitaruru. The house was lovely and the host was so helpful making sure we enjoyed ourselves and relaxed. The children had so much fun exploring the bay. I especially enjoyed going to sleep and waking up listening to the waves breaking on the beach below the bach.

Lovely modern house. Well set up with beautiful view from clifftop over water. Easy direct access to sheltered beach with fantastic rockpools for kids at low tide. Easy drive to Parua bay for supplies.

It really is a slice of paradise

If you need to escape to somewhere away from the crowds that is truly relaxing, head to Challis Beach House. The views are truly stunning… from dawn to dusk. It’s a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Your host, Steve will ensure your stay perfect. Highly recommended.
