Welcome to our family’s cherished summer home, loved for over 75 years! Originally built by my grandparents, this vintage Bayfront gem has hosted four generations of unforgettable memories.

Located in the heart of Dewey Beach, directly next to the Dewey Beach Yacht Club, (and just 2 docks over from the Rusty Rudder and Hyatt Place) With your own private dock and beach for boating, crabbing, kayaking or stand up paddleboarding, and gorgeous sunsets. Bring your boat and tie up to your own private dock or rent one from our neighbors!

Private, no fuss gem!

Owner was more than responsive to questions and needs! It is a basic, clean, calming, comfortable private home. AC was great, grill was awesome, clean beds with new mattress covers and pillows. Happy hours on private bay/beach where perfect! View of water from 3 bedrooms. Ample parking, closer to ocean than u think. Walk to ocean was not an issue. Not truly 5 bedrooms, one bedroom you access from master. Would work well for infant or child’s room. Makes for a perfect relaxing stay!

This charmer on the bay was the perfect venue for a large family celebration with tons of parking and amazing sunsets night after night. It doesn't get better for those that love the sun, sand and surf in the heart of the east coast's most happening beach town.

Perfect Family Vacation!

We had never been to Delaware before so we knew nothing about the area. We wanted a place that was on the water and would have something for everyone in our family. Jennifer was so helpful and answered every question I had(and I had lots of them!) the house is in a great spot on the bay. We rented kayaks, fished and crabbed off our private dock, and we were just a short walk to the beach. There are tons of activities, dining, shopping, etc. all walkable, or just a short drive away to get to other spots that might interest you. This property was great for my family with 4 children, and Jennifer went above and beyond to help us feel at home!

Perfect Vacation Home

Our family has rented vacation homes in Dewey and the OBX for over 10 years, always staying in oceanfront or ocean side homes. This was our first time staying on the bay and we all loved it. It was also our first time using Vrbo. Jennifer was wonderful to work with, providing all the information we needed ahead of time and quickly responding when I had a question. The home is lovely and clean. Although it’s an older home, the kitchen is updated and furnishings looked new. Many basic supplies were provided. The location is very private even though it’s one block away from downtown and 2 short blocks from the beach. We spent lots of time on the screened-in deck where there was always a breeze. Our grandsons enjoyed playing in the front and backyards. We enjoyed kayaking from our dock and watching sunsets and the activity on the bay from our covered front porch. Although I do love seeing the ocean, we found this house and location to be more relaxing and hope to be able to stay here again.

The property manager was very sensitive to concerns about a clean house in this COVID-19 era. A pier on the bay which we used for kayaking and a short walk to the beach. It was perfect for our family.

Family Beach Vacation

We loved everything about our stay. Jennifer was great. She was proactive informing us about everything going on in Dewey before we arrived. She answered all of our questions about the house and the town. The house was perfect for my family. We loved floating in the bay, crabbing, sunsets from the deck, and spending nights outside. The house is a short walk to everything Dewey has to offer (hopefully next year we will be able to experience a fully open Dewey). Definitely recommend this house and look forward to returning.

Great house & great location

We stayed for a week in Aug (2019). Great location. Never used the Dewey beach parking pass since "everything" was a short walk away. We rented kayaks nearby and kept them on the pier. We're looking forward to coming back!

property was as defined on line in the liosting. It was just what we wanted. all of our guestes totaly enjoyed this property. With young grandchildren it was an easy short walk to the beach. They also enjoyed the childrens play park a short walk from the house. It wasa also so nice to find flowers waiting on the counter it just set the tone for this trip. Again thank you all .

Amazing house for whatever you want to do in Dewey

I actually had this house for two purposes - a "guy's weekend" getaway, and then a family beach vacation for the remainder of the week. I can say this house was perfect for both. The location is perfect if you're looking to take advantage of the Dewey party scene - a short walk from all the great bars and restaurants. And the house was also great for my family - my son loved playing on the little beach, and you're just a short walk away from the real beach. The house itself is beautiful and well-appointed, we loved the back porch for evening drinks and morning coffee. People come to Dewey for a wide variety of reasons, and this house is perfect no matter what kind of vacation you're trying to have.

Amazing!!!!!! We cannot say enough great things about the house. We felt like we were home. Between the sunrises on the front porch to the evenings in the screen porch and all day crabbing and hanging out on the beach. Perfect location.

A Great Getaway

The house and location were super. The view of the bay and the two porches were super. The 5 bedrooms were a perfect match for us. Constructively, the initial experience/information could be improved. It would be very help if a small "booklet" were at the house - or provided by email before arrival - which included: specifically what the parking permit works for and where better directions to the house: GPS sends us to the 100s of Vista Road; also we were not made aware of the water pool in front of the house beach rules local & favorite restaurants, eats locations, names of grocery store a description of the working lights on the 1st floor, where the extension cords are a description of the tv controls, a list of (available) channels how to get the dvd player working better list of available kitchen utensils, pans, appliances list of available dates for trash & recycling prior to arrival thermostats: come in night before and change the thermostat to a more comfortable temp in the house (or install a wifi controller to do it) - especially since the day we arrived it was very hot make more top blankets, pillows available a little info on how to crab & where the crabbing items are a bus schedule or available web site for the main road service Although the lease was clear on bringing bed linens, we did not have all available (had to borrow) some of the sizes. We stayed at Dewey a few years ago and there was a linen service which for a small additional amount provided the linens, made the beds, and stripped the beds when we left - we would have certainly used it. Overall still a winner. We would rent again.

Couldn't have asked for a better family beach house!

We had 6 adults and a toddler, and the house was perfect for this. Comfortable bedrooms, with queen sized beds in three of them. The living room and kitchen were comfortable and convenient. The kitchen was well stocked - we didn't actually plan to do much cooking, and didn't, but the kitchen was equipped for any level of cooking. We loved the deck facing the bay for morning coffee and for a glass of wine in the evening, watching the sunset. The screened porch was especially great for a family with small children - it was the perfect place for our grandson to spread out his toys and play, with an outdoor feel to it, but with confinement for the toddler and his toys! The location was also wonderful - being on the bay was relaxing, and we all loved being able to look out from the deck, the porch, the living room and see the peaceful views. At the same time, it was only a short walk to the ocean and beach - and I'm defining "short" as less than 10 minutes for a not-very-fast 60+ woman! An equally short walk to restaurants, bars, anything you could need or want - even a small grocery store right at the corner. The whole family loved the house and its location. We would recommend this to anyone as a perfect spot for a beach vacation.

Big Red is the bomb!

We stayed here for the July 4th week. We went Sunday to Sunday. The property is old beach charm meets new world amenities. Perfect water view. Shade on front (facing the bay) in the am, perfect for am coffee. Shade in the back in the evening , perfect for cooking on the grill. Your own personal dock. We loved it. We had two families of four with four friends. Plenty of room, loads of parking. I can't say enough about the house and the host Jennifer. She made everything great!!!
