Perfect Downtown Location

This property is lovely and has the perfect downtown location! It has a great covered front porch with comfortable chairs so you can watch the world go by, or you can sit on the back deck and listen to the calming Laurel Creek. It has so many wonderful gathering spaces and was very clean. I will definitely rent here again!

This house is fabulous! We rent every year. We are a large group of women who come to Damascus every year to ride bikes and hike. The house is in a perfect location. It is great for a large group. We always have a great time here. The owner is very accommodating and nice. Look forward to next year!! I highly recommend!!!

Great weekend get away for large group

Had a wonderful time for an extended family get together. Lots of places for everyone to sleep. Loved the river right by the home. And all the ducks!! Great weekend stay. Great hosts!! Worked very hard cleaning the home when we arrived after last guests checked out same day.

Most wonderful house in a great location

We have a large group of women that travel to Damascus every year to bike to Abington. We have done this for the last 12 years and we have found the most perfect house for us. It is very well kept and the owner is very nice and accommodating. Sitting by the fire by the creek was fantastic.

Wonderful home in the heart of Damascus! Celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday and the house was perfect. We biked, hiked and walked to restaurants, bike shop and distillery. House was supplied with everything we needed. Beds were comfy. Susan was the perfect host and answered all my questions! We will be back!

Perfect for Extended Family

This was the perfect property for our long weekend trip with extended family. Excellent shared spaces along with privacy in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The little kids loved the huge shower in the downstairs! The location was perfect for spending time and exploring Damascus. Lovely front porch and back deck. We were able to walk to the bike shop for our rentals and shuttle service to Whitetop Station. Very convenient to walk to shops, restaurants, and parks. Short drive to the grocery store.

House rental

This property worked very well for our large family gathering. We were in town for a wedding so the work going on to reclaim the property outside from the hurricane damage didn't impact us negatively. The house is very large and comfortable with a large front porch and swing which the children enjoyed. The beds are comfortable and there were plenty of pots, glasses, plates and silverware to host our party. The extra refrigerator came in handy too. Great hosts that went out of their way to make us comfortable with beds and booster chairs brought to help us with the youngest ones.The views of the river are fantastic. The back deck is presently being reestablished following the hurricane and that will be a great addition, especially during the summer months. Highly recommend this property and hosts

Perfect in every way!

10 adult stay for an 80th birthday celebration. The yard, stream and the house are beautiful. Plenty of rooms for everybody.. High quality furnishings throughout. Best location in Damascus, you can walk to anything. Everybody was a coffee drinker. I asked the owner for another coffee maker so we would have to one for caffeinated and 1 for decaf. Susan had one on the door step for us in the morning! The owners really want you to be happy.

amazing weekend!

We had a wonderful time at your home. We traveled to Damascus to do the Creeper trail with some friends from college and their families. There were 13 of us total, 6 adults and 7 kids ages 1.5-8. We had an AMAZING TIME! The house was so spacious, we all had plenty of room to spread out. The kids spent a lot of time by the creek while we hung out around the fire pit. The house was very clean and well equipped with anything you might need and the beds were VERY comfortable! The power went out due to a random storm and the owners had someone drop by lanterns and glow sticks for the kids. It was so thoughtful! We also really enjoyed being walking distance from local stores, a delicious coffee shop, and diner. I would highly recommend this home, we hope to travel back again sometime!

Amazing Homes and Host!

We rented this house for our daughter’s graduation so our whole family could stay together and I’m so glad glad we did! The house is amazing, huge and has everything you need! We had 18 total and there was more than enough space and comfy beds. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything I needed to just a grad lunch for our entire family which was way better than going out to eat. The covered parking and fabulous front porch allowed us to spend time outside even in the rain. We spent most of our time on that front porch or the gorgeous sun room. The house was also extremely clean and well organized. We even had folding chairs and games for the kids. We had the privilege of meeting the own Susan who is just lovely. Super friendly, responsive and helpful!Highly recommend this home and host!! We’ll be back in 2 years for my daughters masters graduation and would love to rent this house again (if not sooner!!)

Great property for a big group!

We had a group of 12 adults and this beautiful craftsman house was perfect for entertaining a large group. The upstairs has been remodeled so the floor plan works even better than the existing photos show. We had happy hours around the fire pit, back deck and front porch. There are 2 refrigerators. The upstairs has a loft with 3 twins, a communal living room with TV and 3 spacious bedrooms (king room, queen with 2 twins and a queen). The multi bedroom is ensuite with separate access, no porch furniture when we stayed. The other two bedrooms have access to a full bath and a half bath. Downstairs is a queen room with living room and TV, separate access from the back deck. It shares a full bath with another queen room. The front bedroom adjacent to the large living room shares an enormous bathroom with another queen room. The front bedroom is on one end of the huge house and the bathroom is at the other end. While it is certainly worth the walk, it may not be suitable for someone with mobility problems. Everyone loved their rooms and thought the house was a lot of fun. There is also a bonus room between the large dining room and the kitchen that is used as a study. We used it to set up a puzzle and it was huge hit. The location is the best in town. A bike shop is a couple properties down, the AT comes through the front sidewalk and everything is walkable. Laurel Creek is right behind the fire pit and comes with a few ducks. Extra parking is right in front of the house. We highly recommend this rental for large families or group of friends.

Amazing home & wonderful hostess!

I booked this amazing Damascus home for our daughter’s travel softball team and our families. We checked into the biggest, most accommodating retreat any of us could imagine. We were all super impressed with the cleanliness, sleeping accommodations, and things at the house available for our use. The thoughtfulness of Susan is far beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. She checked in with me a couple days before we arrived to offer ideas for things to do and make sure the house was adequately equipped with anything we would need. I prepared two meals for 20 people with no problem. Marshmallow roasting sticks? Provided. Marshmallows for roasting? Provided. Heavenly creek for wading? On site. Ample parking, thoughtful touches, amazing communication… I can’t say enough good things. Our girls and our families were all so impressed and loved every second of our stay. Susan, thank you so much. My youngest also wants to express her thanks for the house smelling like pumpkin spice- she loved it.

Best Weekend Ever

This home is absolutely amazing! It is large, spacious, and absolutely the cleanest home I’ve ever stayed in! There were 15 of us, all friends, gather together to ride the trail. We had plenty of space for everyone. There was even a place for everyone to sit at a table for dinner. There’s a room to watch TV if you’re interested in watching ballgames, while others can gather in other rooms to play games, socialize, laugh etc. There are places to get away and be alone, and places to be together for laughter and fun. There are ample bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need. The location couldn’t be any better for people that want to ride the trail. Overall I give this home an A+ plus.

Best Va Creeper House

Our second stay in this Beautiful home in Damascus, can’t wait to come again. Older home with incredible woodwork and tile but all the modern amenities come with it. Wish I could take this home with me wherever I travel!

Our family group, consisting of 5 siblings, 2 first cousins, 2 second cousins, spouses and 2 daughters, from 7 different states, and all over 50, had a wonderful stay. Our hostess was very helpful and encouraged us to contact her with any need. The house was very clean , included many amenities, and had a well equipped kitchen. Would love to return when I had more time to enjoy the surrounding area.
