The Pool House with Pool

Nestled into the side of Mt Barker Summit on a 12 acre property, our fully self contained, stand alone, hexagonal Pool House is ready for you to enjoy.

A great getaway in summer or winter:
•Seperate bedroom with your choice of King size bed or two singles and en-suite - all linen provided
•Full kitchen with oven and Nespresso coffee machine
•Washing machine and dryer
•Private covered deck
•The Pool is used only by guests (solar heated November to April).
•Smart TV with Netflix etc as well as Blu-ray and over 60 DVD's

Located opposite our main house, the Pool House has 180 degree views over the valley to the east and view of the Mt Barker Summit indigenous bushland to the west. Explore several regions of South Australia from one base:
•Fleurieu Peninsula - 1 hour
•Wine regions Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale - 1 hour
•Adelaide city - 35 minutes
•Adelaide Hills wineries and distilleries all a short drive locally
•Monarto Safari Park - 30 minutes
•Hahndorf - 15 minutes
•Mount Barker - 10 minutes

Your stay will have a minimum impact on the environment with solar power on site.

Our house is opposite the Pool House separated by the deck and swimming pool. There is just the two of us with our 3 dogs and 3 horses. I have been running accommodation properties since 2000.

There is separate access to the accommodation and parking directly beside the Pool House.

Your privacy is important to us - so is ours! We have non transparent blinds on the house so we can’t see you and you can’t see us.

The Pool House is for the booking guests only - no additional visitors will be admitted to the property at any time. Take a look at The Tin Tabernacle, also located on this property.

Absolutely lovely!

Lisa was a terrific host and had excellent communication. The property was so peaceful, comfortable and an amazing place to relax and unwind. The pool was such a treat as well as the spa. Great breakfast provisions. Highly recommend.

Perfect Country Getaway

Easy and perfect with all the little touches to make it a wonderful getaway....was lovely to sit in the hot tub and watch the rain move thru... also thankyou Lisa for the breakfast supplies ...the eggs where amazing ....sorry I took the 4 we didn't eat to enjoy on our travel...lol once again Thankyou

Lovely peaceful setting. Clean and well appointed.

Fantastic place to get away from it all. Clean, spacious, modern, well appointed and private. Just what we needed as we haven’t spent any time away from our kids for about 3 years, so it was way overdue. We were lucky to also have perfect weather for spending time in the beautiful pool. Very very relaxing indeed. One of the nicest places that we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Thanks Lisa!

A quiet but a bit remote location. The pool equipment apparently had broken, so it was quitedirty and not so enjoyable.

Hi Birgit, I am sorry about the pool, as explained over the Christmas break I could not remedy the sand on the bottom of the pool and did not want to disturb you during your booking, although the new cleaner arrived the day you left. The water quality was not affected by the sand.

Fantastic!

What a beautiful property this is! It is in a lovely location and the owner has taken fantastic care to provide every little comfort: coffee pods, basic food stuffs, and just an all-round beautifully presented property. Would highly recommend the Pool House to anyone looking to stay in Mt Barker and would certainly stay there again, should we ever venture back from WA. PS bonus points for the two gorgeous grey horses that live on this property and who were more than happy for us to fuss over them ❤️

Hills Getaway

Was an absolute delight to get away from the city for a weekend and spend some time out in the sun and fresh air by the pool! Property was immaculate and Lisa, the host was a delight to deal with and stop for a chat. Very helpful with any questions we had and plenty of privacy also. Amazing One Year Anniversary

This location was absolutely perfect for my partner and I's 1 Year anniversary. Amazing hills and landscape to wake up to and having all the creature comforts with an amazing breakfast supplied. We were loving the bed as it was extremely comfortable to sleep on. This place was perfect for us and gave us peace of mind when having a relaxing weekend and visiting Howard Vineyard near by. So nice as well seeing the horses in the paddock. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back in the summer time. Thanks Lisa for the welcome and everything orgnaised for our stay, was a great experience.

Country feel with surburbia facilities.

It was a excellent weekend. We were able to utilise all the facilities offered , including the pool and spa. The games and Netflix added to the enjoyment of our downtime. Privacy wasn’t a problem even with the owners dwelling so close by, as they had block out blinds for everyone’s privacy. The tranquility and wildlife gave you the impression of being in the bush, yet the township is under 10min away. Would highly recommend this place to everyone, either for a weekend stay or longer.

Beautiful pool house

Host was lovely. We had an amazing time. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. The fridge was well stocked with goodies. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all. I can’t wait to go back again.

Beautiful place ideal in summer very cold in winter Lisa did provide heater when ask but nice place

It was nice very cold at the start until we. Tang owner who got us extra blankets and old oil heater had to be careful not to trip circuit overall nice better in summer will rebook in summer beautiful horses

The Pool House was originally built to accommodated family and friends from interstate however after selling my bed and breakfast in Hahndorf, I decided to open our property to guests.
