Great family get-away

Perfect family get-away. Easy access to the water, spacious gathering spaces and inside games when it was a little rainy. The cabin was described accurately and the owners were super responsive. One thing to note is the cabin is a solid 30 mins from Hayward, so prepare accordingly. We are super thankful we were able to experience the perfect cabin.

Remote and peaceful

It was a great stay, not a busy area and access to shopping is about 30-40 minutes away. There are great places to eat and fun activities in town, as well as lots of local boat rentals if you want to sit out on the lake and enjoy.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and secluded, just what we were looking for. The fishing was pretty tough but the lake is gorgeous and the evening pontoon rides were beautiful!

We love the feel of seclusion and the beautiful sunsets on Moose Lake. This area is so rich with activity or just a place to come and relax - to get away from it all. For the active, we like to take full advantage of the outdoors year round and love to fish, boat, hike, ATV/UTV and snowmobile.

We also love the area for hiking, biking, or just nature watching.

What makes this property unique

Moose is a class A Musky lake for you fisherman. This property is one-level living with plenty of room to relax and play.

Moose Lake is a 1559 acre lake located in Sawyer County. It has a maximum depth of 21 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and Walleye.

The Hayward area offers:
Located in Sawyer County, WI, home of 55,000 acres of lakes, 300,000 acres of forestland, and countless miles of rivers. The Hayward Area is a sports and recreation mecca that offers not only world-class fishing but year-round enjoyment for everyone.

Hiking & Biking:
The Hayward Area is surrounded by beautiful lakes, thousands of acres of National Forest, superbly maintained trails for hiking and biking.

For the ATV and motorcycle enthusiast, the Chequamegon National Forest contains over 140 miles of trails. Three separate trail systems with adjoining loops, offer an exciting scenic tour of the Forest. Trails wind over rolling terrain, with towering forests and panoramic views of meadows and wetlands.

Snowmobiling
Sawyer County and the surrounding area are known for some of the best snowmobiling trails in the country…over 600 miles of groomed trails! The Hayward Lakes region with its rolling hills, hardwood forests, tall pine stands and pristine lakes serves as the hub of the Sawyer County trail system.
