Property is simply a converted shed, furniture and furnishings overdue for a makeover.

Under A Peppercorn Tree, Castlemaine
This is a peaceful, charming cottage on the outskirts of Castlemaine, which is tastefully decorated and fitted out. It has a clean, uncluttered and elegant look, is spacious, and Elizabeth has made sure that details like soap and and quality kitchen gear are all included. A very well presented stay away and highly recommend. We really loved the space and ambience! Aida and Richard

On arrival after a 7 hour drive we opened the door of this quaint hideaway and were frozen by the chill factor. The split reverse cycle heater was of little help in warming the space and the wood fire was wood free.
After a trip into Castlemaine we returned with 15kg of wood, fire starters and kindling at a cost of $40. Once we started the fire our spirits lifted and our appreciation of the property was enhanced. Had we arrived to find an efficient wall heater and the wood heater set to light our experience would have rated 5stars!
Sweet, rustic, uncluttered accommodation. A great sense of space and relaxation. Close to cool stuff to see and do.

Very quiet and relaxing.
Perhaps access to a private outside sect would improve the experience.

Lovely Studio, very relaxing
This property is very clean and comfortable. It is a 5 min drive from Castlemaine so you will definitely need a car. Loved the uniqueness of the studio. It is very quiet and rural which we loved. The bathroom walls do not go to the ceiling on all 4 sides which we did not love but it was ok for 2 nights.

I will definitely stay here again
A lovely quiet spot, tastefully decorated, nice bed linen (not scratchy, I hate that!), with all the bits and pieces you need in a kitchen to look after yourself.
