Hazelwood cottage was one of the best locations our group of 10 has stayed at, which is big call as we have been to many places over the last 40 odd years.
Great property with excellent facilities and plenty of room. The owners we found very pleasant. Would recommend it for anyone who wants a quiet time away from it all.
Hazelwood cottage was very comfortable, in a peaceful location. The owners were wonderful, and we enjoyed Phoebe the dog, the donkeys and the visiting Kookaburras. Great garden with easy walking paths, plenty of indoor and outdoor living areas.
We had a lovely stay , the children enjoyed visiting and feeding the animals( including the visiting kookaburras & parrots in the afternoon ). Well furnished house with everything you need including great views !

Our second time at Hazelwood Cottage.
We all loved the place - great for a group with many rooms, beautiful views, very clean and everything there for a very comfortable weekend. Thanks!
This was our 3rd time back at Hazelwood Cottage- we love it so much! The owners are very welcoming and sweet. The house is extremely spacious and the grounds are awesome! Think gardens, orchards, farm, bushwalk, lakes - all in one!!!!!
Hazelwood Cottage is a beautiful place to stay, with everything we needed for our family group of 10 adults and 4 children. Barbara and Lindsay are absolutely lovely and welcoming. We had a wonderful visit!
A perfect property to gather our family to celebrate my birthday! Easy check in with Barbara and Lindsay, with a welcoming wood heater fire already lit. Gorgeous gardens, and views, friendly farm animals, spacious, very well equipped house, with room for everybody. We loved the pianola entertainment, table tennis, kookaburra and parrot feeding, outside fire-pit, and exploring the garden, including at night spotlighting for wildlife. Our favourite animals were the friendly donkeys and goats. Barbara had even popped fresh flowers from the garden in vases inside. A lovely stay, thank-you.
Our group of 16 loved our stay at Hazelwood Cottage. The house has a lovely country and cosy feel. We enjoyed the fireplace as well as roasting marshmallows at the outside fire pit. The gardens are extensive and our kids had a lot of fun playing hide and seek there. It was very convenient having 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The house is a great size, we didn’t feel crowded at all. Barbara was quick at answering our queries, and was overall a pleasure to communicate with. There was an unfortunate mishap with the internet but that got resolved after a day. Thank you for lending your property to us. We had a great time there.
Barbara and Lindsey were fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. Had the fire going when we arrived, and answered all our questions. Great property for a group event. Lovely feel and perfect for our 1920s-themed party. Everyone had their own room, but then came together for the party, or to sing along to the Pianola... (cheesy fun). Fire pit in the yard outside for a break out space. Lots of tracks around the property to go for a walk.. or stroll through the orchard. Peaceful and serene. Donkeys, goats, cows and the lovely labradoodle to entertain us. Plus kookaburras and loads of other birds that we fed with the birdseed. Thank you for a lovely weekend. We will be back!
What a beautiful property with lots of room. Never felt like we were getting on top of each other.
Hand feeding the kookaburras was next level!
Perfect spot for a couple of families wanting to get away for a weekend with the kids and exploring this great country.
Will hopefully be back.
The house and surrounds was absolutely perfect for a family get together. The house was warm and the beds were comfortable. It was great having four bathrooms and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved feeding the birds, the donkeys and the goats. Our family enjoyed playing table tennis and the pianola was popular. Lovely walks around the cottage too. It was sad to leave but we will definitely return. With thanks to Barbara and Lindsay for creating such a wonderful warm welcoming home. Pam and Paul
This is a comfortable and spacious house that's well set up for any weather. Eight of us were able to have plenty of room with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and a large dining & lounge area. The garden is gorgeous and we were lucky enough to spend a perfect evening outside with a fire on our last night. Was a very relaxing weekend in a beautiful part of the world!
