Cosy granny flat. Own entrance. Includes 1 double bed, 1 single bed, fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom, private deck, wi-fi, air conditioning, continental breakfast including fresh home made pastries provided. Surrounded by a beautiful garden. 15 min walk to the town centre.
Guests are welcome to park inside the property. No TV or microwave. The flat is part of our house but it's completely self contained.

Handy for the Tararuas

So much nicer than a DOC hut! We really enjoyed our stay here as we got in three serious day walks in the Tararuas. We loved the Italian touches in the kitchen and we are hoping to be back again soon.

It was soo cold The room was very cold the bathroom was frosty We both went to bed wearing socks and layers of warm clothes The outside was very scruffy The actual room would be great in the Summer I was unable to reply to a text written to me by Lucia

I'm really sorry and surprised about this feedback. The room has a heat pump and the bathroom has a heater on the wall. Both of them work properly and warm up the space within minutes even in the coldest days. I would have been more than happy to help if they had let us know they had trouble turning them on. I had messaged Cathy offering fresh pastries in the morning but I didn't receive any reply. The flat is attached to our house so if they were unable to answer my message they could have just knocked at our door and talked to us. As per the outside area, we had had several days of rain so we had not been able to mow the lawn. Plus in winter the place doesn't generally look at its best. We apologise about that.

Cosy weekend getaway

Friendly and obliging host offers this cosy, well appointed and welcoming accommodation in suburban Carterton. Had a lovely time pottering in both Carterton and Greytown Saturday morning before heading to a wedding. Great for an Autumn getaway!

A great place to stay

Loved staying here. It was a peaceful haven with an extremely comfortable, cosy bed. The touch of warm pastries hand-delivered to the door on the first morning was an extr-special touch. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Perfect little garden flat to use as base to visit the Wairarapa

Very pleasant garden apartment on the outskirts of Carterton. Perfect local for touring area and great access to Tararua day walks. Very helpful host but very private accommodation. Kitchen had everything for self catering. Super market cafes and restaurants all close by.

Buzzy amazing!

Wonderful place with the most comfortable bed in the world! Perfect for getting away for a few days from everything. Pastries I'm the morning were wonderful and the communication with the owner was fantastic. Highly recommended indeed! Would stay again in a heartbeat.
