Loved our stay at this house. The trails on the property were amazing! The wildlife was fun to see each morning. Communication was clear. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend.
Great place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Hiking trail on property, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Great location to easily get to Rapid City or attractions. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed four nights and loved this cabin! Great location—close to Rapid City, Spearfish, and Custer State Park, yet very private and peaceful. The cabin was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed was super comfortable. We looked forward to seeing the two long-haired cows on the drive in and out every day! We’d definitely stay here again!
We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful place. The home was perfect for our 25th anniversary trip to Sturgis. The scenery is amazing and quiet and the home had all of the amenities we needed.
This location is definitely remote! We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the deer that came to visit each day. We weren't there a lot, so we didn't use many of the amenities but it's well-stocked and a nice place to stay.
The Hermits' Cabin worked very well for us. The interior is cozy and up-to-date. The property is lovely -- up just high enough in the hills to have a true mountain feel and view. We appreciated the outdoor fire pit, complete with split wood and fire starters.Dawn and Chad were very helpful when we had a few questions. I recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
Loved the property and peace and quiet, just what we needed for our week in South Dakota. We loved the area with so much to do and see, amazing weather, and great accommodations. The only issue with the property is that the water pressure is a bit on the weak side, but otherwise just an absolutely perfect week! The property manager was very communicative and helpful, and the place had everything we needed for our stay including lots of k-cups for coffee!!
This is the perfect place if you want to get away and disconnect from city life. You will be surrounded by nature, you can hear the wind, the nights are beautiful. The cabin was spacious for three people, the beds are comfortable.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin! Beautiful views, enough basics in the kitchen to cook the meals we needed, and it sits right next to some UTV trails so we were able to drive right from the property onto the trails. Very close to other trails. If you plan to eat out be prepared to drive to restaurants (30 minutes for most). Host was easy and friendly to communicate with. The only thing we would suggest is for the house to have a deep clean. Bed was very comfy and sheets were very clean.
