THE GOOD STUFF:
+ Stocked trout ponds and Fraser River fly fishing right out back
+ 20 min to Winter Park and Grand Lake, about 30 to Rocky Mountain National Park
+ King suite with en-suite bath and private water-view balcony
WORTH KNOWING:
– No A/C — at 7,935 ft, Granby nights cool off fast; open windows do the job
– Pool and hot tub are community amenities on an HOA seasonal schedule (see Other Things to Note)
Guest Access:
You have the entire cabin to yourselves, plus the Edgewater community amenities: pool, hot tub, playground, pedal boats, the kids' fishing pond, and catch-and-release fly fishing on the ponds and the Fraser River. The pool and hot tub run on an HOA seasonal schedule — check Other Things to Note before booking around them.
Self check-in with a keypad. Parking for 2 standard vehicles at the cabin; trailers and extra vehicles use the overflow lot at the north end of the resort, to the right of the owners' sheds.
The Neighborhood:
The Cabins at Edgewater wrap around four stocked ponds and a stretch of the Fraser River, with walking paths, community fire pits, and a kids' pond (lure fishing for ages 15 and under). Downtown Granby — restaurants, live music, local shops — is a 10-minute walk.
Drive times: Granby Ranch lifts 10 min, Lake Granby 15 min, Winter Park Resort and Grand Lake 20 min, Rocky Mountain National Park west entrance about 30 min, Hot Sulphur Springs 15 min, Grand Elk golf 5 min.
Summer: fly fishing, boating on Lake Granby, hiking, mountain biking, golf. Winter: ski Winter Park or Granby Ranch, sledding, and snowshoeing.
Getting Around:
You'll want a car. The cabin sits just off US-40: Winter Park is 20 minutes east over no mountain passes, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park's west side are 30 minutes north, and Denver is about 1 hour 45 minutes (allow extra on winter weekends for Berthoud Pass). Amtrak's California Zephyr stops in Granby daily if you'd rather ride than drive.
Around town you can walk: downtown Granby's restaurants and shops are 10 minutes on foot. Parking at the cabin fits 2 standard vehicles; trailers and oversized vehicles go in the overflow lot at the resort's north end.

A lovely place for grandparents, parents, and a preschooler. Enjoyed sitting on porch, hiking nearby, pool, hot tub and a wonderfully useable kitchen. Bring bug spray for later in the day. Very quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay.
This is the second year I’ve stayed here when I’m up for my son’s camp. We stay for almost a full week. It was everything you need- great location, cool neighborhood, and laundry lol. This year I had both my boys and it’s so nice to be able to do laundry during the week. And I love that all the bedrooms are on the same level

A last minute get away fly fishing excursion. The cabin was very nice and a perfect fit for what we were seeking. Very easy - everything we needed. Love the grill - easy to use and convenient. Ponds were frozen, but the Fraser was flowing well. Good times!

Perfect place for family vacation of 3 generations
We spent 3 days here with our son, daughter-in-law and our 2 grandchildren ages 7 and 5. It was perfect. We enjoyed the pool, paddle boats, grilling dinner and day trips to Rocky Mtn. N.P. , and watching the full moon from deck.

Advice for anyone staying during summer, bring mosquito spray as they are brutal towards sun down.

About the host
Hosted by Traverse Hospitality
We (Alex & Nadim) are grateful to be able to offer an outdoor focused community to our guests up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We both love rock climbing, hiking, biking, skiing and spending pretty much all of our free time outside; we were even crazy enough to run the Leadville 100. Our mission is to help as many people as possible discover the magic of the mountains...which is why we founded High Rocky Homes!
We're doing our best to make real estate and mountain access more affordable for EVERYONE!
For our real estate clients, we give half of our commission back to our buyers and sellers, saving them an average of $5,000. This helps our clients furnish a new home or simply reduces the high closing costs associated with buying or selling real estate.
For our property management clients, we offer a service that has no restrictive contracts, a lower commission model and superior performance. This means that more booking revenue goes back to our clients to offset the costs of their mountain homes.
For our guests, we've been working hard to offer more lodging accommodations that are clean, affordable, and full of great amenities set up for active people who want to enjoy the mountains for short or longer term stays!
