A Surfer's Home Away From Home! Soft round the edges, cozy and beachy

Cotton House 2 is a beach house right on Cotton Bay on the south coast of Barbados. Three air-conditioned bedrooms and three bathrooms with one fourth bedroom without a/c. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the other two with a/c can either be pushed together to form a king size bed for couples, or kept separate as two twins. The fourth bedroom has a double and single bed. The house can sleep up to 8 people comfortably.

Lots of space inside and out with a yard as well as an electric gate. In a family friendly neighborhood walking distance from Cafe Luna and Miami beach. Large deck perfect for lounging and entertaining. Surf break right out back perfect for learning. Five minute drive (10 min walk) away from Oistens where there are supermarkets, public transportation, and restaurants.

Check in is 3pm** - Check out is 11am*

*If we have people arriving the same day the maids will be coming at 10am to start the laundry.

On the water’s edges

The photos of the property are a good representation of it. The location to the water is incredible! The sounds of the surf, the joy of watching the surfers and the endless sightings of sea turtles made for a very entertaining and enjoyable stay!

The location cannot be beat. Ocean and surfing three steps from the house. The deck overlooking the water was also divine. All rooms with AC. Slept eight comfortably. The owner was responsive and helpful.

Would definitely stay here again when we return to Barbados with family. The property has everything we needed, and what a spectacular location. We hired a car which made getting here so much easier.The view and sound of those waves from the balcony is what dreams about Barbados are made of!Next time I would ensure we communicate earlier with the property manager about check in time etc, but Michelle the housekeeper was amazing and let us offload our baggage and get settled in after our long journey to get there from Australia. To top it all off we even saw Turtles!Thankyou for such a wonderful place to stay at such a reasonable price.

Great house with fantastic view and water access

Sam was a great host, quick to reply to any questions . Fun house to keep teenagers (and adults) occupied and active. So easy for a morning surf, then chill by the pool or on the deck and just repeat every day.

This is our third stay here, and we already booked for 2027. Beautiful beach, view, and surf. Can't get a better location. We all walk down to Oistins for the fish fry or take the local busses/vans to dinner in the Gap. Hopscoth delivery brings food right to the house from restaurants so you never need to leave- it is very difficult to leave the deck and that incredible view. Michelle was great and the house was clean with everything we needed.

Beach House Heaven

Beautiful property literally on the ocean. We loved the location, easy to get to Oistins fish fry and Miami Beach. Swimming with sea turtles right outside the house was a highlight. Sunsets viewed from the deck were spectacular (although very hot) Air conditioning in all the bedrooms worked great. Only complaint is the beds (twins pushed together to make a double) weren't very comfortable. Otherwise an amazing property and we'd love to stay here again :)

Amazing stay Cottonhouse 2

This property is absolutely beautiful! The outside deck is huge and right on the ocean. Beautiful outdoor space to hang out, nap, read or watch sea turtles! There are 3 large doors/walls that open up out onto the deck which transforms the whole place. Way more than we ever expected! The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and modern! The property large and gated. The pool was an absolute life saver - unfortunately we were there during the seaweed blob so the ocean water was not so nice. We are looking forward to rebooking for our next trip!

The house is in a beautiful location. The owner was very sweet and very helpful. However, we found it difficult to cook and prepare meals as the stove is very outdated. The microwave does not work. The refrigerator does not keep things very cold and the toilet in the back bedroom did not function properly. The dryer was not capable of drying more than a couple of pieces at a time with this being said with a little update this would be a five star. We still had a very good time.

Dream Come True

Soooo many sea turtles and great surf literally steps away! Check in and communication were so easy and the house itself was perfect (though big for just 2 persons). We really appreciated all the tips/info provided by the owners. Kitchen was well stocked with all the staples (salt, pepper, oil, etc.) We were able to comfortably cook at the house and eat breakfast on the covered patio every day. There’s also a nice restaurant at Arches Hotel just down the street if you’re looking to eat out…we ate dinner there twice. Oistins (nearest town) is also very close via car. Just a heads up for future guests - there’s not much of a beach right in front of the house (didn’t affect our plans since we were mainly surfing/snorkeling) but if you want more of a beach there’s Enterprise Beach within walking distance where there’s plenty of sand and lounge chairs available for rent. Overall our experience was 5-stars all around and we’re definitely planning to come back!

Incredible view- Excellent Location

Cotton House 2 was a dream. We had a great time with our family and the location of the house was perfect to the different excursions. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen had an incredible view of the ocean. We rented boards and the kids were able to surf. Highly recommended for families and large groups.

Amazing property. This vacation house can’t be described in words or photos. It’s a preview of heaven. Waves crashing into the foundation at high tide, miraculous coloring of sunrise & sunsetting directly off the house. The beach below is soft white sand & barely shared with abutting homes. The turquoise water directly off the deck is frequented daily by so many turtles. turtles sometimes catch rides in the breaking waves so you see their silhouettes thru clear water. Surfing is easy with great waves right behind the house and rental shop that gives lessons directly across the street. Some days the surf rides were right behind the house & made for great videos from the deck. The sounds of crashing surf make for perfect nap on the couch on the deck or in the hammock. Sam, the host was fantastic in communicating & offering advice. The house maintenance staff were lovely. Paradise found. We home to return over and over and will be hard pressed to find a better spot. We ate in mostly grilling fresh caught fish from Oistins fish market or used the delivery service for take out & ate at the table on the deck as it was one of the best tables on the island. Highly recommend & have shared with friends & family as a must visit destination.

Happy Renters

We were very pleased with the property. Location was superb. Crashing waves, turtles, surfers, birds. That was our view every day. Plus we got to see the sunset every night. Sam is excellent in answering any question and attending to our needs. We wanted more beach chairs and he got them for us. Thanks Sam. Barbados is a wonderful place. We were astounded by the friendliness of the people on the island. Both natives and tourist. You can't help but be happy when visiting Barbados. The food was delicious. We ate in the town of Oistens at the local restaurants and it was a fun experience and the food was excellent. Overall, a great vacation. Staying at Cotton House II is definitely the place to be.

Hard to leave such a lovely place... we will miss the terrace with its comfortable couch and hamac, the surfing and paddle boarding just in front of the house, the meals at the big table overlooking the tirtles and the surfers.... The house is a bit run down due to the constant salt and sea attacks but it is shabby chic style so part of the charm. It is well equipped with AC is 3 of the 4 bedrooms. The fourth is very well ventilated—my 80 year old mother who is used to a mild climate loved it. The host (Sam) is super responsive, whether to immediately address a problem or respond to questions about the island.

Great hosts, great location, great stay

My wife and I had a fantastic stay here for 4 days in January. Sam and Stefanie were super welcoming and very responsive to emails/texts before and during our stay. This house is the perfect home base for an active vacation if you enjoy watersports (Surf, SUP, etc.). I would highly recommend this property for those looking for an active trip and a reasonable price vs the luxury hotels on the West Coast. 5 stars!

Loved that the house was so close to the water, felt secluded, and yet wasn't far from amenities. It was easy to take day trips to all the island's attractions. Sam, the owner, is a super guy; friendly, informative and helpful. We would definitely love to return to this property someday!

Stunning view, spacious, convenient...incredible place

We had such an amazing experience here. The owners/caretakers were so accommodating, quick to respond, friendly and helpful. I am definitely coming back!!! The surf is outside your front porch. You fall asleep to the sound of the waves. And you have front row seats to one of the best sunset views on the island.

AMAZING!!!

If I could give 10 stars I would. The location of this property was stunning. You can literally drop a rock of the balcony and you'd hit the ocean. Sea turtles can be easily spotted swimming all around. Miami Beach is a 5 min walk away. Food, bar...etc literally an additional 5 min away. There were 7 of us total, 4 girls and 3 guys and everyone was very pleased with everything. The owner Sam And Stefanie were more than accommodating and made for an easy trip. They hooked us up with SUP Boards and a Longboard through the local shops that were waiting at the house upon arrival. They also made recommendations on where to go and also hooked us up with a local guy for transportation to wherever we needed to go. This is an unforgettable house and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I can't say enough about this place. For those of you that are planning to stay here...You are in for a treat! Can't wait to visit again! Hopefully sometime sooner than later.

Surfers paradise

Our group had a fantastic week at Cotton House 2! From the moment we first walked through the front door, we were in awe of the location and beauty surrounding the house. It sits in a residential neighborhood and overlooks Freights Bay, a beautiful surf break perfect for beginners and intermediates. During our stay, the swell was pumping and attracted surfers of all levels. Bonus: the bay is home to gentle sea turtles. When we weren't in the water, we relaxed and enjoyed the spectacular views from the large and comfortable decks. The photographer for the house listing did a good job, but the decks and colors of the sea are even more captivating in person. The house itself (we didn't spend much time indoors except to sleep) was great, clean, and contained everything we needed for music, internet access, and cooking. The kitchen even had a lime squeezer, which made preparing homemade rum punch even easier. There was also a charcoal grill for our group's pitmaster to prepare melt-in-your-mouth fish, fresh catch of the day that we picked up at the Oistins fish market from local fishers. We did not have a rental car but the small town of Oistins, a 10-minute walk from the house, had everything we needed: fish market, fruit and vegetable stalls, grocery store, convenience stores, restaurants and, most importantly, the fish fry. Also within a 5-minute walk from the house are Miami Beach, a lovely sandy beach with calm waters, and South Point, a nice surf break with fast waves good for intermediate surfers. Finally, the owners, Sam and Stefanie, were very pleasant. From my initial inquiry, to time of booking, and in the months and weeks leading up to our trip, Stefanie was friendly and professional, and always prompt in answering my questions. Sam greeted us upon arrival and took time to show us around, and he met us before our departure to see us off. During the week, he also dropped by twice between surf sessions to make sure that we had everything we needed. Before and during our trip, they offered advice and recommendations, and made many phone calls to help us book a couple last-minute activities. Side note: we highly recommend Ted's Tours for an island tour. Ted was very gracious in accommodating our late request on his day off. He is laid-back, knowledgeable, super funny, and seems to know everyone on the island. We have been home for a few days only but already miss Cotton House 2 and Barbados immensely. We will be back...although not soon enough!

This was our second, boys trip to this house which has become an annual event in Nov. Sam/Stephanie have made some improvements to the house and it is perfect for a surf trip. Excellent location and walking distance to Oistins. The deck is unbelievable and if you are a beginner/intermediate a perfect surf spot. Very close to access the other surf spots on the West Coast and Soup Bowls for the more advanced. We will be back this Nov. for the third annual!!

Totally Awesome House

This house was perfect for our surf trip to Barbados. It is perfectly situated on the beach at Freights Bay, and is only a couple of minutes drive away from Oistins for anything you need. The home was especially comfortable for our group of 4 couples, and was totally secure during our stay. All the amenities were as described, and Sam the host was super accommodating.
