Edenton does Christmas right.
The Edenton Bay Cottage was perfect for 5 people. The location was very walkable to do the Candlelight Open House Tour. Also several restaurants were within walking distance. The kitchen was well appointed for our needs.
I will favorite this house. The view and location is awesome! Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, appliances, etc. They have body wash, shampoo, and conditioner and plenty of towels. View off the back patio is gorgeous! House smelled great. No concerns.
The house needs some attention. Grass in front & backyard had not been mowed in a while. There is black mold visible in the eating/kitchen area that needs to be addressed. There were ants coming in the kitchen. I did call & someone came out & put some type of gel on kitchen backsplash to deter ants. While it did slow them down, there is a bigger problem that needs to be looked into. However, the house was clean & the location was good.
We stayed 4 nights. The house is very comfortable and is located in a great neighborhood. It is located very close to downtown. Check it out if you’re looking for a place to stay!
The house is in an ideal location. Very safe neighborhood and easy walking/running routes. Restaurants and shops are close. The history of Edenton is significant ant the trolley and boat cruise are great ways to discover it. Everyone we met was friendly. Food was delicious. Recommend the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning. Will return!
The property was as described and clean. The location was perfect for us! We could walk downtown and the kids could play at the park. The view outside in the morning from the master bedroom was beautiful!

Comfy house w superior location
Had a good long weekend visiting friends and family. Two couples had a pleasant and easy stay here. Kitchen fully equipped, beds comfy, everything spotless. Short walk to tour this historic and picturesque town. Numerous food and drink options close by. Nice locals around that are happy to catch up with visitors. Great choice whenever you are visiting here.
Couldn't ask for a better experience. Enough space where everyone could be together and find a quiet corner if you chose to. Well equipped to stay in, cook dinner and watch a movie when it rained. Beautiful neighborhood to take a walk into town. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions. Wished we could have stayed longer.
Exceptional waterfront house within easy walking distance of historic Edenton. The property is gorgeous and the house is well appointed. The Evolve support staff are outstanding!
They have all you need and more to have a memorable and comfortable stay!!! Just finished our second stay here. Location is perfect and we were able to enjoy all of our favorite things!!!! (Just don’t eat at Waterman’s, go to 309 bistro!) The pictures don’t do this home justice! It’s beyond beautiful. Thank you again to the home owners!!!

Cozy home on the water. Beautiful Sunsets.
Christian was amazing to work with. Enjoyed a Galentines weekend celebrating friendships. Home was cozy, had all the essentials...crockpot, coffee maker, dishes, dishwasher, etc. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed The Edenton downtown shopping and especially dining at Bistro 309 and The Herringbone. Would definitely stay here again and again. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Able to enjoy our time together as a family right on the water! Caught a lot of fish and made a lot of memories! Comfy beds, a lot of space, very clean, kitchen had everything you needed! Also, each room had little essential kits for showering! We will FOR SURE be back!!!!!! Did not have to communicate with owners as everything was written out when we got there and description was accurate on listing. Very pleased with this place!!!!
The backyard backs up to the water. We put in paddleboards right over the retaining wall. Sunsets were amazing. The house is older but very nicely renovated and it lives bigger than it is. There are 3 very usable bedrooms and 2 full baths.
Host was very responsive.
Edenton is a sleepy little town. We were only there for 2 nights and the second night (monday) our choices for food were Mexican or Dairy Queen. Even in non Covid times, I'm not sure Edenton has much more to offer. The few restaurants were either closed for covid reasons or just closed during the week.
We would definitely visit again and stay in this house again with the knowledge that this is not a place to visit for the establishments. It's perfect if you bring food, cook, and just enjoy the scenery.
