Crazy Like a Fox was originally built as a model home, with well over 3000 square feet, massive windows and high ceilings for a welcoming sense of spaciousness. Northern white cedar, large hand-hewn beams, and heart hickory flooring throughout provide a woodsy ambiance. Set on over an acre of landscaped yard, with layers of mountains beyond, this home is perfect for both indoor and outdoor living.

The heart of the home is the huge great room, featuring an exquisite floor-to-ceiling river rock gas fireplace, flanked by a wall of windows that bring the view inside. There's plenty of comfy seating here around the fire, and a large flatscreen TV. The great room flows into the dining room, which seats 8. The dining room, in turn, is adjacent to the large chef's kitchen, appointed with hickory cabinetry, granite counters, and a spacious island with a downdraft cooktop. This kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and everything else you need for entertainment and meals at home. There's also a half bath on this level, for guests.

The spacious master bedroom is also conveniently located just off the great room. Its king-size bed is built for your comfort, and the ensuite bath includes a walk-in shower, a soaking tub and granite counters.

Crazy Like a Fox features two additional levels, so your entire group will enjoy space and privacy. The upper level offers 1 king bedrooms and second bedroom with Queen and Full Size Beds and a full bath, as well as a loft, perfect for reading or working online. The lower level is a great place for entertaining guests and kids, with a TV, pool table and foosball. There's an additional bedroom downstairs, too, offering a king size bed. plus another full bath and a utility room with a washer and dryer. The lower-level bedroom opens directly onto the lower deck, with its private rocking chair nook.

Of course, with this kind of beauty all around, you won't want to stay inside. Crazy Like a Fox provides abundant outdoor space, with two decks, spanning the entire front of the house. You'll love relaxing and entertaining out here, overlooking an expansive lawn and breathtaking mountains. Dine al fresco, taking advantage of the gas grill and outdoor table. After dark, gather around the fire pit for conversation and star-gazing. And be sure to save time just for chilling with a beverage, a good book, or a good friend. Ready to let the stress of everyday life melt away? This is your place.

Sparta Gem
My family and I had a wonderful holiday vacation at this property. It was very clean organized and detailed. The cabin comfortably fit 8 adults and 2 Dogs. The back yard was fenced in and had plenty room for the dogs to run around. The bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware and glassware. Sparta is a lovely quite area to meander around and just enjoy!

Best log cabin in the NC mountains!
Beautifully designed log cabin. The nicest cabin I have ever rented in the mountains, and I have been vacationing there for 35 years. Well worth the cost. Everything you could possibly want is there. Excellent layout for pets, the fencing design was special. I’m ready to go back.

Wonderful weekend getaway
This house was above and beyond our expectations! Very clean and comfortable! We had a group ranging from 8 to 86 and everyone had a ball! The fenced in backyard was a nice bonus as we had our little dog with us! Will definitely book again next year for our family trip to get our Christmas tree in Sparta!
