We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is cozy, comfortable and well appointed. The location is perfect! We enjoyed the lake, fishing, and kayaking. We would definitely stay here again.
We were there for our 27th anniversary weekend. Everything was clean and as advertised. Very relaxing weekend.

The house was comfy and a perfect place to stay for our trip to visiting family in Vermont. We enjoyed the lake and the kayaks that were provided. We would recomend this to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay and relaxe.
We had a great getaway weekend at the cottage. The only dissappointment was the lake access and "beach" which was not really swimable at all. The water was very mucky and still and fill of reeds for a while so we did not spent time in the water as we expected to. We still had a great time, but would have preferred to be able to have better lake access for swimming.

Response from VrboOwner on 29 August 2025
From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your overall stay. Lake Champlain’s water levels can vary from year to year, as there is no regulating authority controlling them. The levels depend entirely on winter snowpack and summer rainfall. This summer has been the driest in Vermont in decades, and the lake is currently at its lowest point in 75 years due to the unusual lack of rainfall. Typically, August levels are more than a foot higher, which helps with shoreline access and reeds. Earlier this year, water levels were actually above normal in June, so these record lows were difficult to predict."
We enjoyed our stay very much!! especially the views of the fall foliage on the mountains across the lake!!! everything was nice and clean and very convenient!! Firewood was also provided!!!
Generally fine, well stocked kitchen, loved having a dishwasher. House had a funky smell that didn't go away. Yard was untidy, and porch and doorways were not very clean. I expected more for the money I paid. Area was beautiful. Lake was very low (no one's fault), but it meant we couldn't use any of the boats or access the water, which was disappointing.
We had a great time at the house. It had everything we needed and an added benefit of being one floor with no steps for those with mobility issues (we had someone in a wheel chair and it was perfect). It was so pretty to be on the lake and wake up to ice fishers getting their day started. It was an easy drive to Middlebury Snowbowl and Breadloaf. And a quick 20 minuets to campus. We'll have to keep this on our list for future travels to the Middlebury and Lake Champlain area.
We stayed for a weekend the house was clean & comfortable and had plenty of amenities. Great views of the Adirondack Mountains across the lake. This house is in a rural location make sure you have what you need before you get there.
Brothers and I reserved this house for a fishing excursion, and it was home run! Beautiful location smack on the lake with ample room to relax outside and gather around the firepit. House was neat and tidy and well stocked with the essentials. Thank you!
The view from the cottage was very pretty with the lake and the mountains as a backdrop. The cottage smelled like a smoker was there. There was air freshener. It was great to have a washer and dryer.
What a lovely spot! It was quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for.
The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The owner was very nice, responding quickly to a question we had and offering information on a local orchard we wouldn't have wanted to miss!
We loved every minute of our stay and hope to come back next year. Five stars plus!
Very cute lake house. Nicely updated, very clean. Good kitchen. Decent base if you want to see both Northern and Southern VT. We visited in April, when the lakefront was too flooded and the winds too chilly to enjoy the lake. Likely much prettier in the summertime!

Nice and quiet retreat…
Property was nice and quiet and beautiful on the lake. Pictures online are done artistically and make it look. A lot fancier than it is, still a cute little house. Backyard access to the lake was phenomenal, but they really need about 10 bug zappers because as soon as you exit the house your bombarded by menacing mosquitoes. You have to drive at least 30 mins for anythingggggg.

Great spot on the lake
This spot was exactly what we needed . Beautiful views and plenty of yard. The water is nice for viewing and boating but unless you’re out on boat fishing is hard and swimming is not available. Had a charcoal grill for use and plenty of utensils and nice kitchen. Kayaks in the shed was great touch. House was clean and had towels and shower amenities. Overall we give it an A . Anything you need including beaches dollar general and other markets all within 30 mins. I am from small town so we are used to the small commutes for goods and fun. Will be back for longer next visit thank you
