About this property

Comfortable Cottage Located Directly On The Water With Large Wrap Around Deck

Cottage is located on Molasses Pond which is 3 miles long. Waterfront living at its finest with a large wrap around deck to enjoy the loons, ducks and eagles etc. Wharf is attached to the deck for excellent swimming, fishing and boating, large enough to accommodate watercraft . There is a fire pit for evening enjoyment . Boating enthusiast will like our proximity to public boat ramp. ATV access trails nearby. This camp is not too intimidating for 2 people but will accommodate 8 . Heated and cooled by a heat pump system plus a wall mounted gas heater in the kitchen . Artisian well, and shed to store bikes etc. Beach towels not provided. Small local store with lunch counter only 10 miles away. Seafood and fresh vegetables available locally.

Nice play to stay overnight

Beds super comfy. Lots of space. Reminescent of grandma's house. Has an odor that isn't horrible but definitely noticable. Needs a good deep clean. However, the daily used items are clean.

Fall foliage trip

The location is beautiful. Lovely sunrise and sense views from the deck. Full moon rose over the water seen from the deck as well. House was clean, but a bit outdated. Beautiful area for photography.

Not only it this location ideal for all things fun in surrounding areas but it's so beautiful there you really wouldn't need to the leave to enjoy your stay!! Our family really enjoyed the house, the lake of course and everything available to you, for an amazing vacation. Can't wait to go back!!

Nice spot

The location is nice if you’re looking for a quiet, off the beaten path house with direct water access. Bar Harbor/Acadia are about an hour away. The house itself was ok. Damp and a bit musty so hard on those with allergies of that sort. You can tell the owners have tried to combat this with several damp rids hanging all over. They Otherwise it had everything we needed and the outdoor areas were nice

Cottage in East Brook

The lake was great, quiet, clean and warm. We went swimming everyday. Could not keep the dogs out of the water so the gates were great for containment. Cottage clean and describe correctly. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pan. Easy check in and out. No issues. Been two years in a row. BJJ July 2024.

Relaxing Getaway

Property was as expected, clean. Easy check in. Right on the water and private from neighbors. The dogs loved being outside and swimming right off the dock for dogss and us. Lake was very quiet. Just what we wanted. The one bad thing was we had no cell service. Needs more electrical outlets All in all we had a great and would consider a visit again.

Nice cabin on the pond

The cabin is in a great location. It’s right on a pond with a nice dock. It has a nice roomy kitchen, comfy bedrooms and a nice living room in which to relax. Outdoor space is very nice with direct access to the pond. Hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with.

Great getaway

We loved everything about our getaway to Molasses Pond. The cottage was wonderfully comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quiet, which we were, this is the place. The deck and dock were fabulous. The host was very responsive to the questions we had. All in all an A+ adventure.

Wonderful home on the water!

The property was exactly as it was described in VRBO. The host was very pro active - answered all questions promptly. The view was fantastic- wish we could have spent more time there! Overall a great experience!

Bar harbor trip

Pictures looked better than house, it was clean. Needs washer/dryer, dish washer. It was a little cool in the bed rooms had to keep the doors open for heat. Probably a better place to stay in the summer.

Maine Escape

We enjoyed the quiet location and being able to swim in the pond (early September). Sunrise from the deck was beautiful and it was nice hearing the coyotes at night. Acadia was about an hour drive, so we could easily spend some of our days in the National Park and get back before it got too late. Overall, the house was comfortable and convenient.

The property being right on the water with the nice wrap around deck was wonderful! We had a lot of exploring to do so we’re only there later in the evenings to morning but it was a wonderful stay!

Excellent classic Maine camp!

Decent sized dog friendly property with many outdoor spaces and spacious living quarters. Comfortable deck with attached dock. Super quiet area in the fall.

Sweet On The Water Rental!

Really a great place to rent if you like privacy and quietness and obviously the water. Sweet dock right off the porch! Lots of out door space as well. Nice fire pit and wood their for you to burn. Thank you so much for letting us stay! Special bonus is it is dog friendly.
