My wife and I rented the cabin for our son's wedding. Our party consisted of six adults. We found the cabin to be exactly what we expected. Everyone that we encountered at the farm was very polite and friendly. The fishing was good too. Highly recommend the cabin if you like seclusion, privacy and peace and quiet.
Beautiful historical cabin nicely appointed. The views were spectacular with rolling hills. Mel and Henry we’re so accommodating and brought us fresh eggs from the chickens at the farm. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway!
Bunkhouse, farm, farm tour, and scenic walks made for the perfect family getaway. The bunkhouse had everything needed for cooking Ovoka’s famed wagu steaks over a grill, and firewood for the fire pit. Would highly recommend for a weekend getaway from DC. Thanks to Mel, Roy and Henry for the hospitality!
My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is nestled among beautiful rolling hills and had such a warm, inviting feel—it felt like a home away from home. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and we were honestly sad to leave.Traveling from Texas in our RV, we especially appreciated how helpful and communicative Karen was. She made it easy for us to figure out where to park, and everything went smoothly. We’ll most definitely be coming back!
If you have kids you'd like to unplug and let bike, fish, or feed farm animals, this is the place! The staff are so kind and friendly. They delivered us fresh eggs our first day! The ponds are stocked so bring rods. Our 9-year-old caught his first largemouth bass all on his own.
Also, George Washington stayed in a stone cottage out back. They set up a copy of his writing about it. We highly recommend this hidden gem!
Host went above and beyond. There were some obstacles that we faced on our trip but Mel offered prompt responses and problem solving that went above and beyond. Summer storms caused power outages but Mel immediately came to help us escape when the electric gate wouldn’t open. She also helped us find a new place with a generator and AC to sleep in! Thank you Mel for saving the day! The cabin was the perfect size and the kitchen was well equipped. She delivered farm fresh eggs when we first got there. So sweet!Would definitely stay here again (but I am 5’4”. The ceiling in the living room is a little low if you are 5’10” or above. My daughter especially loved the bunk beds by the window and I really appreciated that the cabin was so cool even in the Virginia summer humidity. The property is peaceful, secure, and breathtaking. There is a farm store and a winery (open weekends). The ranch raises Wagyu Beef cattle. Lovely fine dining restaurant right up the road with a gorgeous patio and garden, the perfect date spot. We stayed here because it was so convenient to the Upperville horse show grounds. Places near the Hunter’s head have no service nor WiFi, this place had great connectivity. No issues while working from here. We would definitely come back.
