The high ceilings and glass gable end gives this one bedded cottage a a wonderful feeling of space and light. You will enjoy the ultimate in open plan living, resting on your comfy chaise sofa whilst taking in the beautiful countryside, or cooking in the well appointed kitchen. Open the by fold doors to bring the outside in or enjoy drinks in the sun, then watch some spectacular sunsets over the Glyn Valley. Set on a farm in the heart of rural Monmouthshire on the edge of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty our three dog friendly cottages are ideal for activity and tranquility.
We are less that 15 minutes from the old Severn Bridge, M48 and Chepstow yet Bristol is 30 minutes away; Cardiff 40 minutes. The bridges are now toll free.
Our small working farm, with views over the River Severn, has horses, cows, sheep, chickens and ducks as well as our spaniels and cat .
We are at the heart of a network of paths, tracks and rural roads ideal for walkers, runners, on and off-road cyclists and horse riders. We are close to renowned rock climbing, potholes and canoeing in the Wye Valley; the National Diving Centre; Chepstow Racecourse and David Broome Equestrian Centre; and the glorious Black Mountains. Brecon Beacons and Forest of Dean with its mountain biking hub near Coleford are within an easy drive.
There are routes to explore on the farm and from the farm to pubs and locations such as Tintern Abbey. We are on the edge of a 1,000 acre wood.
All bedrooms are en suite in buildings renovated to the highest specification. Everything is new.
High ceilings and large windows are features of all the west facing rooms which look across the Glyn valley.
Each Cottage is named and themed after one of our local hills. The Sugar Loaf has three bedrooms while the Skirrid and Blorenge have one double bedroom each.
Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with smart TV.
Visitors will find a small provision of household essentials on arrival including fresh eggs from our own hens.
We have a separate washing and drying room; and a warm shower for muddy dogs and bikes, and a secure room to store your valuable bikes.
Your hosts offer guided walks in the Wye Valley, Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons for every level of walker and you can book shiatsu treatments from a qualified practitioner.
