Terrible host/communication
We booked this in early fall, host said we could drop our luggage at 10 am but check in was not till 4. After flying an 8 hour international flight, we got to the house, we waited for them to arrive and after an hour of no show, walked 1-2 miles to find wi fi so I could check that maybe I’d received the house code in an email. We left 2 members with our luggage. We found a Starbucks and In my email (time stamp at 9:45am) I’d received a cancellation email from the host; 15 minutes before we were to arrive…unbelievably angry at the outcome. VRBO was contacted and they found us another place to stay for one of the 2 nights we had booked so We then had to find another place to stay. All in all, horrible experience. We received a full refund however what I spent extra to call VRBO (I don’t have international calling), several extra cabs to get us to new hotel, and higher cost of a hotel the next night leaves me upset. Not to mention we lost over half the day getting the problem solved. One positive is VRBO paid for the one night stay but the place was less than desirable; very sketchy neighborhood and the place was not clean. Overall, if I could have given no stars I would have. My personal opinion is take a pass on this one.
