Winkle Cotrage offers charm and character in abundance.
Winkle Cotrage offers charm and character in abundance. This beautiful 18th century property is tastefully furnished and well equipped. It's location is perfect for exploring the island and whilst there, we made use of the well tendered gardens which sit next to a babbling brook. We stayed for a week and can recommend this cottage for anyone looking for authentic accommodation on the Isle of Wight.
Absolutely stunning cottage - tastefully modernised. Cozy and warm. Comfy beds. Great selection of games in the cupboard. We loved feeding the ducks in the morning.

A really lovely cottage in a charming location.
A really lovely cottage in a charming location. The house was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The welcome pack, tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and logs for the fire were a really thoughtful touch and the hosts arranged our ferry crossings with an excellent discount. It is the perfect place for a peaceful week and we were delighted to be able to feed the ducks and watch the heron.

Winkle cottage is very welcoming, cosy and comfortable. Location beautiful and peaceful. Ideal base for travelling around the Island. The owners were very helpful in arranging our ferry booking and notifying us as soon as the cottage was available, so that we were able to settle in early and make the most of our first day. Beautiful garden across the road , which we did not use as we had our dogs with us.

John & Paul have a beautiful holiday cottage and are fantastic hosts 😇😇 They were a great help booking the generously discounted, flexible, car ferry tickets. Their attention to detail to accommodate our stay with two small dogsðŸ¶ðŸ¶ was superb. The property is clearly loved, very tastefully presented and clean throughout. On arrival we found a bountiful welcome basket of fresh produce, a nice bottle of wine🥂 and oat milk to satisfy my wife’s dairy intolerance. Our holiday was so good we didn’t want it to end and wished we could stay longer. Following a brief text message exchange with John, he manage to amend our ferry ticket and extend our stay - all within a couple of hours! Just Amazing 😃We enjoyed every minute of our stay 😎especially with such good weather. We will definitely book again and recommend this beautiful holiday cottage to all our friends. THANK YOU BOTH 😇😇

We loved the cottage, it was so comfortable and peaceful in such a tranquil place.
We loved the cottage, it was so comfortable and peaceful in such a tranquil place. The gently gurgling stream, with the occasional heron taking a drink, and the lovely garden to sit in and while away a few hours. It would have helped to have the stream fenced off from the garden, so our spaniel could be let off his lead, when in the garden. The shower did not have a non slip mat or any handles - definitely a slip hazard. Other than that, perfect!
