We had a lovely stay overall and really appreciated several thoughtful touches. The welcome package was amazing—it included dish and laundry pods as well as coffee, which made settling in super easy. The location is fantastic, and the unit itself has so much character. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the building, which added a unique charm to the experience. The modernized kitchen, especially the full-size fridge, was also a big plus. That said, there were a few downsides worth noting. The bed was quite firm and not the most comfortable for a good night’s sleep. We also found that the power would trip turning the whole unit dark if the stove and oven were used at the same time. This was an inconvenience as we had no idea how to turn it back on. Luckily a passing neighbour helped us find the breaker located downstairs in the lobby. There was a strong unpleasant smell during our stay that we traced back to a dirty mop left in the storage cupboard—once we moved it into the hallway, the issue improved. Lastly, the nearby pub can get quite rowdy late into the night, so light sleepers may want to be aware.Overall, a charming and well-located spot. This unit is rather dark even when it is sunny out due to where it is located in the building.
