About this property
4 Bedroom, York City Centre, Complete House, St Saviours House, Just Amazing
St Saviours House has been completely renovated to the highest specification.. It enjoys exceptional views of York Minster from a quiet, but very central location in the heart of historic York. It lies on the edge of the pedestrianized precinct within the Aldwark Conservation Area and within the ancient Bar Walls surrounding the city.
A 3 minute walk down St Saviourgate to Whip-ma-whop-ma Gate leads you to The Shambles, York Market, and Marks and Spencers. All the city centre amenities, principal shopping streets, restaurants, and cafes are close by. A quick walk across the bridge over the River Foss are all the supermarkets: Waitrose, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Lidl.
Layout and Facilities: Recently fully renovated from top to toe, it is now a fine Georgian townhouse with contemporary fixtures and fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms. The Georgian windows are fully double glazed and fill the property with light. From the first and second floors are outstanding views across the city rooftops to York Minster. On the ground floor is the dining kitchen, sitting room and French doors onto the south facing walled courtyard.
Getting around: Everything in York is a short walk from St Saviours House. Close to Whip-Ma-Whop-Ma-Gate are all the bus stops, and a taxi rank. There are even regular Coastline buses to Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast.
Activities: There are a number of Gyms a short walk across the Foss Bridge, as well as a bouldering climbing wall, The Red Goat. Tennis courts and a bowling green a bit further out in Heworth, and one of many golf courses. A bike hire shop is close to the Red Goat and the start of many special cycle routes around and out of the city. Horse racing at York Races course is some of the best in the UK. There is also some spectacular walking country in and close to York.
So you may need at least a week or two, just to see what is available.
Unfortunately the property is not suitable for pets, or people who may find steps a problem
