Nice quiet neighborhood yet still walking distance to most things. Parking and checking in was super easy. Comfy beds. Clean well stocked condo. Amazing pool area! Overall a great stay. Fridge is not full size so don’t overbuy your groceries. Tap water was definitely “Florida water” but we used a PRUE filter and it worked perfectly.

I would definitely stay here again. The location was great if you don't mind walking, which we did most days instead of having to find a parking space downtown. Communication with Kristen was fabulous. The pool was green when we got there, however, it was taken care of for the next guests. We were not able to use it. However, we would have just sat with our feet in it anyway. The key box wasn't located by our Unit entry door, so if I had to make a suggestion, it would be to let the location be known in the check in information. We got into town an hour early, and were able to check in early. That was very much appreciated and Kristen was right back to me letting me know our unit was ready. You will not go wrong staying here.

St Augustine Getaway

We LOVED that our VRB was located in the middle of Lincolnville, so rich in African American History and also such a short walk to King St and all of St Augustine’s history, galleries and restaurants. Excellent quiet location, lovely private patio and pool area behind the house too. Would recommend highly.

Comfortable Close Accomodations

This place has all the basics but not much else. It is walkable to most anything and is as presented. Backyard area is pretty but a shared space. Also layout is odd and yoy can hear people walking above you but it delivers on what was expected for the price paid.

Perfect spot to relax and enjoy St. Augustine

This was a great property. We easily walked all over, and its located between two trolly stops so no need to drive around and worry about parking. The kitchen was well stocked for simple cooking and morning coffee. The pool and patio were also very lovely for relaxing. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Kirsten was very responsive when we had a question. I would definitely stay again! The kitchen

Great stay!

Very nice apartment. The pool was really nice. Everything was super clean! The hosts were responsive if needed and were very accommodating. Walk to downtown was short (10 minutes) and was very central to a lot. Walking distance from the winery and distillery. We did not go since we were on our babymoon but we were shocked how close! Would definitely stay again. Only thing is our apartment the second bedroom was connected to the first bedroom and they shared the same door. But that was just our apartment (apartment 2). We also had our own laundry which was great!! Loved it and highly recommend.

Uncomfortable Mattresses and No Live Television

We were in Unit 2 on St. Francis Street for three weeks. Kirsten responded to messages quickly and the location was easy walking distance to downtown. At first glance, this place seemed to be a 5/5. The unit was clean, reasonably up-to-date, in good shape, and so on. The couches seemed new and were reasonably comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom looked good and the back patio and swimming pool looked amazing. Once we lived in the unit, however, it lost the 5/5 in the details. Too many things just didn’t work well, were uncomfortable, were skimped on or were poor quality. 1. The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and the beds squeak when you move. The same mattress is extremely hard on one side and so soft that you sink several inches down into it on the other side. This was in Unit 2 – other units may be fine. 2. There is no LIVE television, news or sports. The ROKU TV provides access to old television series and old unknown movies. Access to Netflix, HBO and similar offerings is only available with second-level usernames, email addresses, and passwords, none of which are proactively provided to you. This lack of access to current events may be fine for a few days, but not for a long-term stay. 3. The shower is wonderful! Hot water and good pressure. We had to buy and install a soap dish and shelves though because there wasn’t room on the edge of the tub for our soap, shampoo and conditioner. 4. The towels look great - clean and white. Unfortunately, however, they are thin and non-absorbent. The bath towels are OK for one shower. The hand towels are completely soaked after minimal hand-washing. Very poor quality. 5. The kitchen towels are similarly thin and only good to dry one or two dishes before they are soaked through. 6. We had to buy our own plastic wrap and food containers to store leftovers. Not an issue for short-term rentals, but important for people cooking and staying a week or more. 7. The patio and pool are great, but the patio furniture is uncomfortable and hard, and no beach towels are supplied for swimming. Overall, a great spot that could very easily be almost perfect.

We visited from NH. St. Augustine is a really nice, old City to visit with much to do. We stayed in apartment 2, very clean and as advertised. Bed is comfy, apartment had everything we needed, and backyard pool area is beautiful, quiet, and clean. Our weather wasn’t in our favor but if it was we would have lounged in the pool area more. The host is also great to work with.

Oh my goodness! I've stayed at several VRBO properties, but this one was by far the best! Lots of room, clean, thoughtful things supplied (like scissors that I actually had to use). The kitchen area is huge! And the pool area...wow!! When I wasn't traveling about town with my son, d-i-law, and grandson, I spent my time either in the pool, or sitting underneath the beautiful portico! Everything is within walking distance to the old town area around Flagler College. We walked almost everywhere. Can't say enough about how wonderful my stay was. If I ever get back to St. Augustine, I hope your property will be available.

About the host

Owners Kirsten and Michael have been married for 42 years and have two wonderful children, Karen and Thomas. We have been fortunate and had the opportunity to live in many different places throughout the US and overseas. Finally, we decided to retire and settle in St. Augustine.

Why they chose this property

The fully renovated apartments and central location was attractive for us as we were looking at various properties. St. Augustine has a festive atmosphere and is full of happy vacationers which we really like, but for us the possibility for an active lifestyle with ample opportunity to walk and bike safely all over the city has been the greatest incentive to purchase a home in this area.

What makes this property unique

We have been frequent visitors to St Augustine for quite a while now, and we would always go for a walk or ride our bikes in Lincolnville. Maybe because it's so authentic or maybe because it's one of the few areas of downtown that have a real neighborhood.
