The cottage was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood. The location was so convenient - less than a mile from everything we wanted to see and do. We will definitely try to stay there the next time!
This property was perfect for us! Staying in the historic district and then driving to beaches, etc is a great strategy for St. A. (Parking in town is nonexistent) This property has a private parking place, absolutely perfect. We’ll be back!!
Property was very nice and in a great location. Restaurants, bars, and all other downtown locations were easily walkable.

We did not have pets but was still charged.Parking was difficult, spaces were too small for a truck. We had to find other parking. This was a very special occasion in St Augustine, a wedding for our daughter.I did not see the step off into the washroom/closet and fell. I feel this is very dangerous, because there was no warning to step down.I informed the manager the next day and have received no apologies. I went to urgent care and have seen the orthopedic doctor.I missed out on all the special celebrations because of the injuries to my ankle and wrist. This has made me feel so sad.Needless to say, I won’t recommend Casita 1860.

We are sorry you experienced an issue at the cottage. This is the first time we have heard anything about this. However, the step is clearly visible, and we have never had any issues. Doors separate the two areas, and the floor colors differ. As for parking, we park a large SUV (Surburban) in the designated spot and have plenty of room. Your comment about a pet charge is very confusing. You did not inform us that you had a pet, and there were no pet charges to you. We hope your daughter had a wonderful day!

This was an absolutely delightful place to stay during my few days in beautiful St. Augustine! The pics are great but it's honestly even cuter in person. Very clean, new appliances and conveniently located. The parking spot was an added bonus. Def would happily stay here again!
Lovely home filled with charm and high-end appliances. Great courtyard and wonderful walkable area.We love the neighborhood and the neighborhoods local coffeeshop, French restaurant, Dog Rose brewery and marina food truck.
It was the perfect way to experience St. Augustine! Staying in a historic cottage in the middle of all that you want to see! We walked to everything! Just delightful and with updated amenities to make it comfortable.
The property was clean and very well maintained with as many of the original features as possible (I believe it was built in the late 1920’s). It was very well appointed with everything we needed. The location was perfect, with a lake in front that provided a perfect walk for our dog. Easy access to shopping, restaurants and beaches made it very easy to do everything we wanted to do. 10/10 would stay here again.
Stayed here on a quick 3 day visit and if we come back to St. A again, this is where I would stay every time. The place is perfect for 2, and so charming. Great bed, fabulous kitchen, which we didn't use, and walkable to everything. Very quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Property was amazing. Very well renovated. Close to town but not too close. My only suggestion was that you could put an overhead fan in the master bedroom to help with air flow.
The space of the house was set up nicely to accommodate a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and laundry room which all felt spacious. We felt comfortable for our stay, and were pleased by how well the kitchen was set up. Would definitely recommend, and would stay again. The only downside is the tight awkward parking spot, which is near the cottage, and a challenge for parking a pickup truck.
It's a cozy little house, but needs a deep clean and some freshening up. It would have been helpful to have black out shades in the bedroom - there is A LOT of light that comes through at night. Be aware that the bedroom is tight!

We apologize that you were unable to leave a 5-star review. If something needed our attention, we would have addressed it immediately. This cottage is located in the heart of the historic district and is very popular because of its fantastic location!
Inside of house is cute, quant and clean. Outside seating area not so much. Parking is weird - in neighbors back yard behind fence. Yard not really fenced in as part of yard wall is only about 2-3 feet high. Bedroom has French door facing the 2-3 feet high wall, not really comfortable or safe feeling. We left 2 days early.

Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that the home was cute and clean. The courtyard features a lovely, large tree, and while it can occasionally shed debris when it rains or is windy, a quick sweep with a broom usually takes care of it. The French doors in the bedroom are both attractive and secure, leading directly to the courtyard where you can savor your morning coffee.
We're pleased to offer free parking downtown, as it can be challenging to find in this area. We're fortunate to provide this service to our guests.
We're sorry to hear about your family emergency that required you to leave a few days early, and we hope everything is okay. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
