Cozy and friendly
This was the perfect place for us. It's just a few minutes outside of Bar Harbor so it's nice and quiet but you can still easily get to town. The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast, waters, and ice provided at the Otter Creek Market was a nice touch and really made you feel welcome. You gotta check out the Burning Tree for dinner just down the road from here. The only minor complaint about this place was that you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you. This comes with the territory though of being an old building. It definitely wouldn't keep me from recommending this place.

Well priced, no frills.
We stayed at Otter Creek Inn after 2 nights in Acadia. Owners were able to accomodate an early check in for us and we arrived to a very clean room. Hand towel in the bathroom still had the tag from the store on it, which was a little odd. Bed was immensely comfortable with clean fresh sheets. There were plenty of towels and shampoo soap and conditioner provided. Mini fridge was stocked with water which was a nice touch. The room had wood floors with runners, which we prefer to carpet. Breakfast in the am was muffins coffee and fruit. Nothing fancy, but clean and tasty. If you're looking for something else, the market has stocked shelves. Things that could've been better: there are limited power outlets; room 5 had one of the few covered with a "not working" sign. The walls are quite thin; we heard lots of noise from the patio downstairs and from our neighbors. During the day, the room was wonderfully cool despite outdoor temps in the 70s. At night we used both the stand up and ceiling fan and still struggled to keep cool. Finally, wifi was not hooked up during our stay. We couldn't connect and when we asked, we were told that the service was down all together. It would've been appreciated to have been told at check in. If you need connectivity, we were told wifi would be up on 6/7; there is no cell service. Staff offered the market land line for emergencies.
