My family and I had a very nice experience in this cozy cottage. It is in a great location convenient to several trail heads. It has everything you need and the Otter creek store is a short walk away for the items you forgot.

My family and I have stayed at Otter Cliff Cottage two summers in a row, both stays have been very enjoyable. The Cottage is clean, nicely decorated, quiet and in a great location. Amanda the host is very responsive and extremely nice and professional. We would highly recommend staying here at this cottage, we can't wait for our next visit.

The cottage is lovely-cozy and has all the amenities we needed. Central to hiking, Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor. The accuracy of the listing has to do with the restaurants listed that are closest—all but one with a very mediocre rating is still open. BUT Bar Harbor is 12-15 mins away and has plenty of restaurants if you have patience for parking. Amanda’s place made it easy for us to decide to buy groceries and grill!

This house was beautiful! It was spotless when we arrived, well-equipped with everything that we needed. It was the perfect vacation getaway. We will definitely return on our next visit to Acadia ... which I hope will be soon. Thanks to Amanda, our stay on Mt Desert was perfect!

Otter Cliff Cottage provided us with everything we wanted from the spacious open plan kitchen/dining area/living room to the very comfortable master bedroom. The location couldn't be better- within walking distance to the Southridge trail up Cadillac in one direction, and in the other, to Otter Cove and easy access to the Ocean Path on the Loop Road. What more could anyone want?

Otter Creek is a great place to stay for Acadia visitors. The cottage was nice, comfortable and clean.

Great trip to Acadia!

This rental exceeded our expectations. Amanda was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The proximity to the park and comforts of home like the ac grill and fire pit made our stay that much better. We will be staying again the next time we come to visit the park!

Perfect cottage

My family and I absolutely loved this property! Such a cozy cottage and super clean. We enjoyed being in a quiet area but yet still being within a short drive of everything!! This cottage had all of the little touches that make a place feel cozy and like home away from home.

Delightful 3rd stay at Otter Cliff Cottage!

This was our third year staying at Otter Cliff Cottage, and we couldn't be happier with the accommodations. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient, and Amanda is a wonderful host. She continues to make some minor upgrades to the already well-appointed cottage, and she is always quick to respond to questions or problems. We'll plan to return next summer as well!

Comfortable, Convenient, Clean

Immaculately clean, comfortable beds and conveniently located for those who don't want to be in the busy hub of Bar Harbor at night but want the close proximity to everything. Our family enjoyed the trails during the day, Bar Habor and for dinner (Blaze was great when you've reached your seafood limit), and the quiet atmosphere of the VRBO at night while roasting s'mores over the fire. Would definitely recommend.

MDI cottage with all we needed

We found the cottage true to its photos and description. The location is between Seal and Bar Harbor, which worked well for us. The fire pit and gas grill weee both nice perks we enjoyed. Owner is responsive and check in/ out as well as recommendations before our trip were great. The little store at the end of the street was also so lovely and we visited multiple times.

Perfect cottage in a choice location

The cottage was clean, very nice and well stocked. Perfect for my wife and I. The location was great for close proximity to Bar Harbor, Seal Harbor, and NorthEast Harbor as well as Acadia and many hikes We took a few hikes directly from the path by the house as well. So many hikes and so little time. Communication with the owner was great. Highly recommend!!

Great cottage and great stay

The cottage was clean, well appointed, comfortable, and satisfied all our needs. Peggy, could not have been more friendly and helpful. We followed many of her suggestions for good experiences and were very pleased with all of them. Even though the weather was cool, the airconditioning was apppreciated.

Cottage did not disappoint

My wife, son and dog Maya recently rented Otter Creek Cottage. We found the Cottage to be clean, neat and organized. The location was perfect to get to Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor and the Acadia Park. The property manager Amanda was very pleasant to work with, she returned communications very quickly and provided some nice suggestions. We are already discussing renting the Cottage again next year.

Great place to stay on Mount Desert Island

We had a wonderful time at Otter Cliff Cottage. It's a nice quiet neighborhood only 15 minutes from Bar Harbor, even closer to Seal Harbor. The cottage was well kept and equipped. Amanda, the hostess, is very accommodating, and goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable. Our only regret was not staying two weeks instead of one. I would recommend this property and plan to book it again if we make it back to Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park.

Memories in Arcadia

Great property - close to the shop and able to walk to the trails from the unmarked trail at the end of the street. Made best use of the free buses to tour the whole park. Had an awesome time in Arcadia a real gem of a National Park. Thank you

Perfect for small family

House was perfect! Clean and tidy. Newly updated and simply decorated. Perfect so we didn’t have to worry about mixing up our things with the homeowners. Supplied a number or little special touches that really made us very comfortable for the week we were there.

Peaceful Cabin

We loved our stay at Otter Cliffs cabin. The description and pictures on the listing are accurate. It is very comfortable and a nice place to rest and relax after busy days. When we arrived, we found many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers. The cabin was clean, well organized and well stocked. There is ample closet and drawer space in each bedroom and the bathroom. The cabin is a short drive from Bar Harbor and many sights within the park. The location in a quiet, peaceful area away from the crowds was perfect for us. Communication with the host was excellent.

Quiet and close to main trails!

This little house is perfect for a getaway to Acadia. We stayed in late October. If you are looking to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor, this is it. Surprisingly, it’s not a long drive from town, but it’s so quiet. We did two long full day hikes directly from the house. No need to drive! Check all trails for a trail leading directly from town to the quarry trail to Gorham Peak or the Ocean Trail. We found the short cut only on our way back. Super convenient for home cooked meals, laundry (nice!), fires in the pit, and tv for tired nights. Definitely consider this house for quiet, convenience, and comfort.

Parson Cottage

What we loved most about this cottage was its position on Mt Desert Island. Only 4 miles outside Bar Harbor but far enough away to get away from the busy town. Also near entrances into Acadia park and easy drive to Southwest and Northeast Harbors. The Otter Creek trail is right at the end of the street and it was a beautiful easy walk to overlook Otter Bay. The cottage was the perfect size. Great kitchen and living space, generous bedroom. Washer and dryer were super convenient and grill right outside on the porch. Only take away for us was the mattress, which when mentioned it wasn't great, they said they'd replace and the couch was super uncomfortable but they also said they'd look into replacing that as well. There isn't a view of the water or mountains from the cottage. Its in a little neighborhood area, but for the price and location we thought it was a good value.

This property was conveniently located to most everything we wanted to access in the area. The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean upon arrival. The "short walk" to Otter Cove is a little over-represented, in my opinion. An exact distance would be more transparent.

Really lovely property in a great location! We enjoyed taking the half mile path down to Otter Cove several mornings, and this was a great home base for exploring Acadia (interspersed with toddler naps). Everything was exactly as described in the listing and Amanda was very communicative.
