This cabin was everything we were looking for in a mountain getaway! Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything needed to cook all of our meals. Host was great!
This cabin is absolutely amazing. Its very remote (which we loved), but just a short 30-40 min drive to West Jefferson and Boone. The cabin is beautifully crafted and the sound of the babbling creek while sitting by the firepit with the bistro lights above was just magical. We would love to come back!
Very nice remote cabin in fantastic location. The creek is very beautiful and peaceful. Very relaxing place to spend a few days. Owners are prompt to respond and the home was super clean. We had a great time. Recommended!
Great remote location! We came to the area to mountain bike with our kids. You can explore trails at Kerr Scott Reservoir and several spots in Boone. Both within a 40 minute drive. The property is amazing!
My wife and I love this cabin. It is more than we were expecting. If you are looking for privacy you have found it. The cabin was amazing and the views were awesome. It was by far the best place I have ever stayed.
We really enjoyed our stay and especially the babbling brook! The cabin had everything we needed and is spacious and comfortable. I do wish there were MORE hooks in the bathrooms! The cabin was a little too secluded for us, but it is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. The host was responsive to our questions. It is the epitome of a mountain cabin.
The cabin was excellent and very clean. Property was nice and isolated with great views by the creek. Was very cold when we went and the cabins base heaters were very convenient plus having a fire going was nice.
We had such a great time at the Cozy Cabin. Beautiful cabin and setting in the woods. A crazy drive on gravel roads to get there but once you arrived, Wow..! I really enjoy the drive in the woods but can be a little challenging especially at night. You definitely need some form of vehicle with a higher ground clearance to get thru the creek right at the cabin. Small SUV is just fine. We were there for a wedding at the Sky Retreat which was a gorgeous setting on top of a nearby mountain. Beautiful area for some peace and quiet. Mitzi, the owner was super nice and communicated with us every step of the way. Her detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin and Sky Retreat were great as cell service and GPS signals can be spotty. Loved the cabin and would recommend to anyone for a stay. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Hate to go home today…!
Very nice get away in the woods. This is the perfect place to come and relax. Swinging on the porch listening to the creek is wonderful. I would recommend this cabin highly. It is down a very long dirt road and crossing through a creek.
Hosts were very accommodating and responsive when weather delayed our stay. The house was clean, well cared for, comfy and cozy. The creek and hot tub put it over the top. Will definitely be back!
I was looking to get away for some quiet time for self-reflection. Between the sound of the babbling brook and the green canopy over the hot tub, it was the most serene period of self-reflection that I have ever experienced. the cabin was very cozy and clean, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Helpful hint - screenshot the wifi password BEFORE you go up the mountain!!! Amazing stay. Will be going back for sure.
What a great place! We had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, great place to go for a hike and the creek just makes the atmosphere. It IS RE-mote feeling and the roads are winding, but is certainly makes the drive interesting. It was a great location for a wedding we attended at Sky Retreat 7 miles away.
