Open concept roomy floorplan! This beautiful property is located on the Niagara Escarpment ( Bluff) between Egg Harbor and Carlsville. It is close to the heart of Egg Harbor , but just far enough away to enjoy peace and serenity after a full day of boating, shopping, sightseeing, biking or kayaking.The gourmet kitchen has a double oven, gas cooktop, Large refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, granite island and countertops, a dining room table that seats 6 with additional seating for 4 at the island. Nice deck off the kitchen to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the bay! It has 4 bedrooms and 1 pull out Queen sleeper sofa. ALL 4 bedrooms overlook the bay! 1st floor Master bedroom has a King size bed, with Master bath that has a tiled shower, granite countertop with his and hers sinks, and a walk in closet. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed. Bedroom 3 is in the lower walkout level and has a King size bed with a large walk in closet .Bedroom 4 is in the lower walkout level and has 2 twin beds. There is a guest bathroom upstairs that has a bathtub/ shower combination and quartz countertop, and one spacious guest bathroom in the lower level that has a roomy shower, quartz countertop, and a sliding door between the shower and sink area, so its easy for 2 people to utilize the bathroom at the same time. Kitchenette \ bar area (NO cooktop ) in walkout level with an additional refrigerator, granite countertops, sink, cabinets, glassware, plates, bowls, flatware, microwave and dishwasher as well as a family room with TV and Foosball table. We have a stereo system with speakers throughout the house as well as speakers outside so you can enjoy the sunset , music and dinner on the outside patio. Use the outdoor grill, crockpot, gourmet kitchen or choose a restaurant from our list of recommended places to eat out. We have a wide variety of outdoor games, including Plinko, ax throwing ( plastic safe version) , connect 4, cornhole ( bean bag toss) , and Jartz ( safe version) .In the evening , enjoy s'mores by the outdoor fire pit. We are...4 minutes to Carlsville, 13 minutes to Sturgeon Bay,16 minutes to Fish Creek, 22 minutes to Ephraim, and 28 minutes to Sister Bay. Conveniently located in close proximity to cherry and apple orchards. Got bikes? Take a bike ride to Door Peninsula winery, or Door County coffee and tea. We take pride in our well kept home , and have a strict No pets policy. NO parties of any kind, NO smoking, we do NOT allow bachelor /Bachelorette , LARGE family reunions, weddings or any other type of large party gatherings. This is a family owned home and we rent to people who would treat it as if it were their own.
June- Aug., we rent by the week only with Saturday check in / out.
Sept. and October we require a 4 night minimum., check in and out on your choice of days.

Beautiful sunsets! And beautiful views everywhere. Plenty of space...great for families. The owners thought of every amenity...well-stocked kitchen, some snacks, hair products, even found some first aid supplies when we needed them! The home is brand new, and very clean. Close to Door County Coffee and Tea...one of my favorites. You will love it here!

House on the Bluff

The house was fantastic! Our family really enjoyed it. It was not the house to rent though with a one year old as there were many stairs however the baby enjoyed climbing up the stairs. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy many sunsets as we had smoke from the Canada fires and the weather did not cooperate. I would definitely rent it again and hope for better weather.

Post wedding vacation

My sisters and our husbands stayed ay this beautiful home last year for a Door County vacation. It was so wonderful we booked again to enjoy more of Door County after a family wedding. This time my daughter, her boyfriend, and my nephew joined us. With the “young people” we were more adventurous. We hiked many beautiful trails, hit lots wineries, distilleries, breweries, cheese shops, picked apples, shopped, checked out the Cana Point lighthouse, and a state park in Ellison Bay. The boys golfed several times. But coming back to our vacation home to eat, drink, relax and watch the gorgeous sunsets was our favorite part. Gayle and Wayne are so welcoming. The home has everything! So comfy and tastefully decorated throughout.We played games with music on the fabulous sound system. Morning coffee on the porch was also a treat. Watching birds, wild turkeys in the morning. Spotting deer in the evening. So peaceful. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. Until next time…..

Happy Place

First impression was 'wow', and it continued to be 'wow'. Wayne met us at the house to walk us through their home, highlighting its features, its nuances, and what it had to offer. We've stayed in several VRBOs, and this is the first time we were able to meet the homeowner. It set a nice tone for a week full of making memories. Oh, and a lovely welcome gift! Mornings began with a cup of coffee on their deck (choose from a Keurig or traditional pot), followed by Door peninsula activities, and always ended with a beverage on their deck or patio watching the spectacular sunsets. The home is well equipped with everything and felt very much like home. Plenty of extra sheets for air mattresses or the pull out sofa bed, kitchen well stocked with supplies, several activities/games (ping pong, bags, washers, fire pit), nice layout of bedrooms on opposite ends of the home, located along a quieter road that allowed for biking, running, walking, etc. The home was perfect for a family of 10 that included grandparents, two adult children and their respective families. Plenty of space. I recommend this home with no reservation and I am very glad we stayed here. Thank you Gail and Wayne, you were wonderful hosts!

Exceptional vacation home!!

The house was just as beautiful as shown in the photos, and the cleanest vacation home we’ve ever stayed in! Wayne welcomed us to the house at check in and walked us through everything we needed to know about the home (heating, fireplace, etc). The layout of the home is perfect for gathering for meals, playing games, and just being together. The lower level is equally nice, with a bar and additional comfortable gathering area. Sunsets were incredible every night - viewed from any of the large windows, or from the backyard fire pit. Wayne and Gail provided tons of brochures for local attractions, restaurants, wineries, etc. The location is an easy drive to just about anything you’d want to do in the area. Everyone in our group , even the toughest critic, had rave reviews about the home. Wayne and Gail have thought of everything to make this vacation home the perfect place to stay.

Beautiful lakeview home

This is a stunning home on Lake Michigan, the photos do not do it justice! The owners take pride and care in providing a quality experience. We visited with 7 "kids" (ages 12-26) and had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone.

Family vacation

There were 10 ladies here that are all family and this home was perfect for us. The view was spectacular, especially the sunsets. The accommodations great. Wonderful open spacious kitchen and dining and living areas so we could all visit . The bedrooms and bathrooms very nice too. Many treasured memories !

Beautiful new gracious home with spectacular sunsets!

We stayed at Bluff Cottage Sunset in Egg Harbor the end of October. We have never been to Door County in the fall, but it was just such a beautiful time of the year to go and particularly staying at the Bluff Cottage Sunset. Sunset is such an appropriate name because they were spectacular to view from the Living/Kitchen area which is an open concept with large picture/casement windows. Views from the bedrooms were equally beautiful. The home is impeccably maintained and very spacious. Everything is new, in good working order, beautifully arranged, great floor plan for larger family or just a few people, The owners are very gracious, helpful and have thought of everything to make your stay welcoming. The setting is private and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Why they chose this property

WE LOVE the water view! From the house you can see boats on the bay, deer, wild turkeys, and an occasional eagle! WE love the nearby apple and cherry orchards and the many wineries that Door County has to offer!

What makes this property unique

When you walk in, the windows all across the back of the house , overlooking the water will capture your immediate attention. The view of the water is fantastic from our home and we had to make sure ALL bedrooms overlook the water! Open concept home with contemporary kitchen complete with 2 ovens! Granite in the kitchen and Master bath .Masterbath has his and hers sinks as well as a large tiled shower. Quartz countertops in the other 2 bathrooms. Main level bath #2 has a tub/ shower combo. Lower level has bar area with an additional refrigerator , glassware, dishes , microwave and dishwasher and family room with Foosball table and TV. Lower level bathroom has a large shower with glass door.We take pride in our home and it shows! Quality comfortable mattresses throughout the house! Construction was completed in 2018 and we know you will enjoy your stay here.
