Charming Bright Cottage on Silver Sands Beach

Our 3 BD 1200 sq ft beach cottage offers easy living directly on the water. It is newly renovated and very comfortable.
You can enjoy spectacular views of the water and Charles Island from the vast deck, hide from the heat in cozy rooms with same panoramas, swim, take a stroll along Silver Sands beach or bike in Silver Sands Park.
Solid internet connection allows you to work here.
Perfect for family get togethers, couples, small groups of friends. No large groups, no parties, no loud music.

The house is very bright with a lot of windows and water view from every room.
A huge deck has a dining table, lounge chairs, plenty of cushions and a coal grill.
You can also sunbathe directly on the sand on the private beach in front of the deck. Straw mats and beach towels are available.

Indoors there is dining area with an expandable table, counter bar connecting open kitchen and lounging area with comfortable couches. Family room has flat screen TV, AppleTV, working area (also with a view!). WiFi throughout the property.
Washer and dryer are available for use.

Kitchen is newly renovated, with 4-burner gas range, spacious fridge, dishwasher, microwave, blender, mixer, toaster, food processor and full range of pots, pans and bowls. Fully stocked with plates, dishes, cutlery, glasses, spices, etc.
Peapod delivery is available.

All bedrooms are on the second floor, and all afford water views. Master bedroom with queen-size bed, and second bedroom with full-size bed look directly on the water and spectacular sunrise. Third bedroom with a full-size and a twin-size beds has private balcony overlooking sunsets and water view from a side window.

First floor bathroom with shower only. Second floor bathroom has Jacuzzi tub. We also have an outside shower to rinse sand and salt.

Guest access limitations:
4th bedroom and attic are not accessible to guests and will be locked out.

We would like you to enjoy your stay in our house.
This house is our home. We love it very much. Please, be considerate. We would provide you with plentiful shelf & closet space, but please appreciate that our stuff is still there.
We cannot accept any pets under any circumstances due to severe allergies.

Great location

Great location for our family for a Yale graduation weekend. Deck and charcoal grill were perfect for 2 cookouts. Plumbing needs updating. Less clutter suggested.

The house was clean, and larger than it looks in the photos. The kitchen had all the tools and utensils to easily accommodate 7 guests. Seating in the rear porch was plentiful and comfortable, there was also enough shade to sit outside all day and not worry about getting a sunburn. Irina was very responsive, and a pleasure to speak with. Overall, a great stay, and I would not hesitate to book again.

Mother’s Day getaway

My family got away for Mother’s Day. The location was excellent and it was very easy to check in. Once I learned that this is the home of the people were renting it out, everything made more sense. I wish we had brought beach towels with us. We were able to hear the beach and enjoy it from our bedrooms and the deck. The ocean view was lovely, we were close to an amazing Greek restaurant and a Audubon place nearby. Thank you for hosting us!

Cramped and uncomfortable but nice location

This house was so cluttered with a million things it felt claustrophobic. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The owner only provided sheets for one bed, and 2 towels and hand towels for the bath. Everything made us feel like like it wasn't our place to be there, as if we were intruders. The porch was large and right on the beach. It was a great spot. If only we could've stayed outside the whole time. There is no A/C, so if it gets hot, the rooms upstairs are sweltering. Some of the window screens had holes, so I didn't open them for fear of mosquitoes. The TV was only "Apple" TV and the owner couldn't explain how to work it. I couldn't even turn it on. While she genuinely seemed to want us to enjoy ourselves, I did not complain directly to her because there was really nothing she could do about it. It's a very old house/camp on the beach. If you feel like roughing it and paying top dollar--go for it! The walks on the beach at low tide were fantastic! I will think twice before using VRBO again.

Quiet, peaceful, paradise!!

My girl friends and I stayed at this lovely property for the weekend. It’s a beautiful location, the Silver Sands Beach nearby, and of course the private beach spot in back of the house. Silver Sands has great views and walking (board walk around the beach with pleasant views of water & marsh). The house is close to New Haven—lots to do nearby! Large porch at the house with amazing views (perfect for our photos!!) Irina was sweet and helpful in offering ideas for activities! Friendly neighbors as well. The house is spacious, clean, and well-equipped with kitchen appliances. All in all—amazing, rejuvenating experience.

From the moment we stepped in we felt like this was our home away from home . Clean, well stocked kitchen cabinets, lots of room, great view, great hiking, across the street from a Greek restaurant with delicious food and a kind hostess.

Beautiful beach

From the house, I could walk to Charles Island when the tide is the ebb. It was Very quiet. There was nothing but the sound of the waves from both sides. I already miss the narrow path.

Truly Charming ....

The location was charming. Beautiful beach and view. Great Greek restaurant across the street. House is charming but no frills. Needs some updating or I would have given it a 5 star. Stairs are steep so I was worried about my Mom walking up the stairs but plenty of room to sleep 6.

Wonderful home right on best beach in Milford

Wonderful home for a family or group get together. Large outdoor porch with lots of room for everyone to relax. Although there is no air conditioning, I don't think this is ever needed. The cool breezes on even the hottest days...into 90s, will keep you comfortable. So great to just feel the fresh air and hear the waves. Beach is great. Kitchen has everything you need.
