Spring Break & Holy Week (March 1st - April 9th, 2023): Restricted to Immediate Families Only. Immediate families are considered children, parents & grandparents only. No spring break groups will be permitted, regardless of age. Identification will be checked upon arrival. Day guests and visitors are not permitted at any time.

Welcome to La Casa Del Caballero, a prestigious 5 bedroom, 5 & 1/2 bathroom beachfront home on South Padre Island. Sleeping 14 guests, this oceanfront home is a MUST SEE property for your next romantic getaway, family vacation, or girlfriends retreat! The ground floor entails a spacious living room with large flat screen TV, dining area equipped with a gorgeous bar and a fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances including two microwaves, 2 ovens, handheld and electric Kitchen Aid mixers, 2 coffee makers and much more! All three areas overlook the private pool and hot tub and provide guests with incredible views of the beach and are wheelchair friendly!

Guests have the choice between 5 elegant bedrooms! On the ground floor, the first guestroom features a low rise Queen size bed, handicap accessible bathroom with walk-in shower and large closet. Just upstairs you'll find the Master bedroom with King size bed and private oceanfront balcony. The Master bathroom has a walk-in shower and incredible soaking tub. Down the hall, the third bedroom features a Queen size bed, the fourth Full bunk beds with additional Twin Trundle bed, Twin size sleeper sofa, and a crib. The fifth bedroom features a King size bed. All guestrooms have their own private bathroom, large flat screen TVs and walk-in closets.

The property also features all 4K Smart TVs with DVD/CD players, Wi-Fi with multiple nodes for excellent signal strength throughout the property, USB charging ports in several rooms, 2 washers & dryers (one upstairs & one downstairs, garage with a second refrigerator, and a handicap accessible powered lift chair for the pool!

Whether you're spending time inside surrounded by elegant coastal decor and fine finishes, or outside cooling off in the private pool, soaking up the heat in the hot tub and making endless trips to the beach via your very own boardwalk, this incredible house will make your beach getaway like no other!

Fantastic beach house!

One of the best rental properties that we've ever stayed at, hands down! Communication with the property manager was quick, efficient, and very polite. The house was clean and the bathrooms and kitchen were amazingly well-stocked. The beds were so comfy and every room and bedroom had so much space and all of the amenities that you could ask for. The pool was beautiful and a good size given the size of the backyard. Loved the ease of the boardwalk straight to the beach. Needless to say, we were sad to pack up to head home at the end of our stay! Highly recommend this rental property and will definitely look to rent this property the next time we come to South Padre!

Beautiful Home & Location

The home and location is perfect. The pool and hot tub kept kids entertained when the weather wasn't great & the tide was too high. This was our first visit to SPI but we plan to return.

Great rental for the weekend

Loved staying at this home and it was plenty spacious for my big family. Loved the straight access to the beach and all neighbor renters were very respectful. However we did run into a few hiccups. Our stove did not work and was not functional all weekend. BBQ pit is very old and cannot be used. I recommend the owner buying a new one or make sure you bring your own. Master shower drain leaks onto the main patio/pool so watch your head! Other than that our stay was great.

The townhome is beautiful! Clean and practical. Not to mention the beautiful decoration on all 5 bedrooms, living room and well equipped kitchen. The private pool and access to the beach mame it feel like a spa! Loved our family time there!

SPI Rentals is AMAZING!

SPI does not miss a beat when you are counting on everything being on point. Our family celebrated my daughter's sweet 16th birthday at an SPI rental condo. It was spectacular with high end furnishings. It was a spacious condo, very clean, and had everything we needed. I was especially grateful to Alan for going above and beyond gathering a great team to help me make the weekend as special as it was. I can't thank SPI's employees enough for being incredibly helpful and kind, and proving that next level customer service does exist!

Nice place for November trip!

This was overall a great place to stay for our 4 day weekend family vacation. The hot tub and heated pool are a definite plus when they work! The maintenance team is quick to respond with any issues. The neighbors can be loud, so not great for very young kids at night. You do need to bring a lot of your own toiletries but stores are close by and convenient. I'd definitely stay again if given the opportunity!

Lovely house with classic beach vibes! Every room beautifully decorated. The pool and hot tub were perfect…. Love that we could just walk out the gate and have such a short walk to the beach. It was a wonderful weekend! We will definitely come back.

Awesome condo!

This condo was perfect for our family. Best one we have rented for the last 5 years where everything was working and bedrooms are roomy with its own bathroom. Only suggestion is it needs an ice maker and wine fridge. Had all the utensil's needed and dishes and serving pieces were very nice. Pantry needs to be organized where you have all kinds of kitchen gadgets, etc. We would like to rent again, and highly recommend this condo to other interested parties!

Beautiful Beach Property

We had 10 in our group ranging from 5 years old to 71. The home was perfect for our family. Each bedroom included a private bathroom and there’s a washer/dryer upstairs and in the garage. There are 2 refrigerators, too. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, cookware, utensils, bar ware, etc. The property management provided excellent service.

Location was perfect!

The house was very convenient to all activities we were hoping for. Right on the beach!! Also, we were pleasantly surprised when we saw there were tons of beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, etc. available in the garage for us to use as the listing was very vague. The heated pool and hot tub was a huge plus! SPI was very attentive when a problem with the pool arose. Someone was sent within the hour, which was very much appreciated. The house itself has seen better days – a lot of items were worn or broken. Also, a deep cleaning would’ve been appreciated between guests.

The place was great. we all slept great on all the great beds. Everyone having their own bathrooms was great. Clean place and we had very little to no issues. very clean water in the pool and hot tub. It was great to have the pool and hot tub during some on the inclimate weather and for the young ones in our group. There was a lot of clutter in the place as far as cookware and all. Would have been nice to have the pantry for our food and needs versus a bunch of cooking and kitchen utensils that are not needed or wanted when on vacation. We were worried about some other reviews mentioning flooding into the unit during rain. We had some rain days and had no issues at all. Overall, great place and clean place. 4.5 out of 5 only because of the kitchen clutter. SPI Rental was easy and wonderful to work with. 5 out of 5 for them.

Great Property Except for Hot Tub

We had our extended family of 11 people staying here for the Christmas holidays. The house was awesome - clean, well-stocked, great location. It was especially nice that each bedroom had their own private bathroom. Our only complaint was that we booked this house because of the pool and hot tub, but the heaters didn't work most of the time. Some of our family was coming down from freezing Minnesota and looking forward to spending time in the hot tub every night. The rental management company responded very quickly to our calls that it wasn't working; however, the maintenance man that came out could not get it to work either and said he would have the pool guy come out. He came out once but left without even talking to us. One of the heaters would come on randomly for awhile and then shut off so we never knew when or how long it was going to be heated. Very frustrating as well as the fact that there were no written instructions as to how it was supposed to work. The management company did end up compensating us for not being able to use the hot tub and pool; but obviously, it did put a damper on our expectations for the vacation.

South Padre is for families!

All was very well and better than described. It was record hot and our pool filter blew and they couldn't fix it while we were still there because of parts being ordered. Having a pool most of my life, I knew in this weather with small children, the pool would not stay appropriately sanitized. After my husband got on the phone, they agreed to let us move next door since no one would be there. It was very nice also. The pool was even better than our first place. The dryer didn't work. We had so much wet clothes and towels. They came to try to fix it and said it would be fixed by Friday because he would overnight the parts needed. I called multiple times when no one ever came the next 2 days to fix it and no one called me back. I spoke with someone the last time I called and was told they would call me right back. Never got a call back. It wasn't the end of the world or anything and I know things break. The fact that no one called me back to at least tell me it would not be fixed would have been nice so we could have had an alternate plan. Like I said, not the end of the world. We put all our clothes all over the house and outside on chairs and gates and any place possible. I know it's not the condo owners fault since I am sure they pay a pretty penny for the property management company toake sure all is well. And I know I paid a very pretty penny to stay here also.

Beach Front Luxury

This property is stunning, clean and professionally decorated! They definitely did it right! The towels are plush. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, minus pantry supplies. There are 2 regular coffee pots so bring filters and coffee. Definitely bring some extra ice. There is plenty of barware and tools so bring the drinks! The windows and sliding doors all have top of the line shades. The window shades are electric. The beds are all comfy and dressed perfectly. The private pool and hot tub are awesome! The one downfall was not being able to regulate the temperature on the hot tub. It was set to 102 and at times that was just too hot. We were constantly turning it on and turning it off. There are plenty of USB charging stations. You just need to bring your cords. Bring a wireless speaker for the pool. There is a ton of seating outside but we definitely missed some comfy chase loungers. There are 2 sets of washer and dryers and 2 refrigerators. The place stayed cool, but we like to sleep with it much cooler. The AC is regulated and won't go below 70. We were grateful for ceiling fans! It wasn't a deal breaker for us. I get that this place could potentially rack up a crazy high electricity bill. Bring beach towels! There are a few chairs and boogie boards in the garage. There is even a cart to use. We didn't use them. There were a few things that didn't work but they didn't hinder our stay. SPI rentals would have been on top if it but we chose to let them handle those things after we left. Wanna Wanna is literally a few doors down so this part of the beach is pretty busy. You do get to enjoy the Fri and Sat night bands that play there. All in all we agreed we'd definitely stay here again. This is a brand new rental and I see it being a popular one. We venture here at least once a year. If you need a bay fishing guide, look up Big John out of Pirate's Landing on FB. It's always a good time on his boat! Our go to eateries are: Ceviche Ceviche, Gabriella's, Joe's Oyster Bar in Port Is, Cap'n Roy's, Yummies is a must for breakfast, Wanna Wanna and Pier 19 to cook your catch. Definitely book a massage with Bea at Massage and Healing Arts. She's the real deal. Can't wait to come back! Thanks so much for sharing this home with us!
