In the heart of the Normandy landing beaches, Port en Bessin authentic small artisanal fishing and pleasure port of Calvados renowned for its scallops located 10 minutes from Arromanches and its artificial port, 10 minutes from Omaha Beach, 8 minutes from Bayeux, 30 minutes from Caen, 1h30 from Mont Saint Michel and 3h00 from Paris.
Industrial atmosphere for this apartment located on the first floor of a two-story building located on the harbor front with a magnificent view of the comings and goings of the boats. .
Completely renovated apartment with high-end services, direct view of the port and sea view on your left.
The apartment includes a large living room with a magnificent view of the port, a fully equipped open kitchen (pyrolise oven, Senseo coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, washer-dryer, induction hob), separate wc, lounge area with 81cm TV with DVD player, hi fi, Ipod station, harbor view with a high-quality convertible sofa for regular 140x190 sleeping, a quiet room on the roof terrace with a 140x190 bed, bathroom water with a 140x90 shower.
You can enjoy the many restaurants and shops of Port en Bessin and the local market every Sunday morning.
You will discover this beautiful Bessin region with its landing beaches, located 10 minutes from the artificial harbor of Arromanches and the fine sandy beach of Omaha Beach (American cemetery of Colleville sur mer).
Walks on the port and the seaside, tastings of seafood and fish back from fishing, 2x18 hole golf course, paragliding, hiking or just relaxing and sunbathing on the nearby beaches.
From July 7 to August 25 Every Friday evening, walk the night market alleys on the quay, from 6 p.m., then go to the port or in the apartment from 11 p.m. for a fireworks display from the Vauban Tower.
You will be in the front row.
For parking your vehicle, free parking spaces are available around the building.

Great cosy apartment centrally located

This cute little apartment was perfect for our 5-day stay in the Normandy area. It is right in the heart of Port en Bessin, walkable to a small food store, restaurants & shops. There is plenty of nearby parking. The apartment was clean and very well equipped. The owner met us personally to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable and had all of our questions answered. We were very happy with our stay.

Really great apartment right on the quay in Port-en-Bessin. Everything you need is in this really well appointed place. Good restaurants minutes away and food shop, bakery etc, so much to see in the immediate area too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely apartment and thoughtful host

Geraldine has gone above and beyond in outfitting and maintaining this apartment. She met us outside the apartment and provided a detailed explanation. Not only is this apartment perfectly located to explore Normandy, it's a wonderful spot to relax after a busy day. Very close to restaurants if you choose to eat out but also well stocked and close to markets if you choose to cook. Truly became a home away from home! Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

When we arrived Geraldine welcomed us personally and gave us a briefiung about everything in the apartment, which is well equipped, very clean and inviting for a pleasant stay. Port-en-Bessin is a nice little town with no overtourism and nice restaurants. The way to all recommanded attractions in this area are not to far away. Great Location - Close to D-Day Sites

This was a very nice apartment. Pros: - Great location. Close to the D-Day Beaches, Bayeux, etc. and walking distance to shops and restaurants - Communication with Geraldine was excellent. She met us early on our arrival day and spent a good amount of time showing the apartment and provided recommendations for restaurants close by - Apartment was very clean. It's good for a couple. - There is free parking on the street, but very limited spaces. It was nice that we didn't have to pay for parking. Cons: - It didn't really have air conditioning, but was comfortable with the windows open slightly - There was a washer/dryer combination, but we couldn't quite get it to dry our clothes completely so we hung them about the apartment to dry. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend for a couple in the area.

We had the best experience with Geraldine the host for our stay in Port-en-Bessin. This was our first time in Normandy, and she started helping us from the time we booked to after we left. The apartment was perfect, more spacious than I expected from the pictures, plenty of room for my husband and I. We really loved the bright fresh look of the place, and it had all the needed amenities, including coffee maker, fridge, washer/dryer, and even movies to watch! I cannot say enough about how friendly Geraldine was, she met us when we arrived, showed us how everything worked, and even had a few little gifts for us. Checkout was a breeze too, as she met us back at the apartment for our departure with another little gift. She recommended tours and some really great restaurants in the area. Best Hostess Ever!

Beautiful Apartment on the Bay

When we arrived Geraldine, the host was here to meet us. Even though our train had been laid and delayed several times. She took us to upstairs to the apartment and gave us a tour of everything and showed us how everything worked. We were pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful the surroundings were and how beautiful the apartment was sitting right on the bay. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. And Geraldine is an absolutely wonderful host. She has answered all our questions throughout our entire stay. We have had to contact her a few times and she got back to us immediately. The apartment is wonderful. It has a fantastic view and it has several restaurants that are right along The waterfront. When you go out of the entrance, the restaurants or right there and everything else is close. The beach is within just a couple minutes. And there's a fabulous fish market within just a couple minutes. We were pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful little gem here in France. We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone that is coming from the states. If you are looking to see about D-Day and the history, it is perfect. And to have a wonderful little gem to stay at to see all of the history. This place is wonderful. You will love Geraldine. She is a fabulous host in this apartment is fabulous.

Schöne, saubere Unterkunft mit Blick auf den Hafen. Alles ist fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Frische Baguettes gab es nur drei Häuser weiter. Der Ort ist sehr romantisch und liegt zentral an der Küste von der Normandie. Einige schöne Städte sind gut zu erreichen. Zum Baden sind wir zu Omaha Beach gefahren. Außerdem haben wir ein paar schöne Angelstunden erlebt. Diese Ferienwohnung kann ich nur jedem empfehlen!

Super emplacement au cœur du port

Très bel hébergement avec vue direct si le balai des bateaux de pêche. Tous les commerces au pied de l appartement . Wir hatten durch Geraldine einen warmherzigen Empfang, die Unterkunft war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bot alle Annehmlichkeiten einer praktischen und hübschen Ferienwohnung. L'appartement est idéalement placé sur le port, vue sur les quais, les bateaux (retours de pêche avec toutes ces coquilles st Jacques), la tour Vauban. Le marché du dimanche est accessible à pied : primeurs, cidre, fromages etc. Hors saison, on peut poser la voiture à 2 pas. Le marché aux poissons est à moins de100 mètres, les restaurants, boulangeries, pharmacie et commerces tout proches. Super-marché U bien achalandé (viande, service traiteur...) + l'endroit où faire le plein de carburant. Confort haut de gamme, appartement décoré avec goût, très cosy ; très bien chauffé, grand chauffe-eau ; cuisine et équipements très complets, idem pour le linge de maison et la salle de bains. L'hôtesse - Géraldine - est charmante et très réactive ; nous avons apprécié ses conseils (restaurants, visites, documentation touristique...). Une adresse de référence à garder en mémoire !!! L'appartement de Géraldine s'est avéré être très bien situé et bien centré pour visiter les sites historiques, les musées et les plages de la région. L'appartement était très propre, bien agencé et conforme aux descriptions. Les informations envoyées par Géraldine et celles trouvées dans l'appartement étaient très complètes et nous ont beaucoup aidées pour nos visites. De Sainte-Mère-Église à Etretat, nous avons passé une très belle semaine de vacances en Normandie.

Très bon accueil et très bel emplacement pour profiter du port.

Belles ballades, l'activité des bateaux de pêche rythme les journées suivant les marées. L'appartement permet de profiter d'une belle luminosité. On peut aussi trouver à se balader loin du flot des touristes.
