Location is stunning. The sunrises were beautiful, but really the view is something to see at all times of day. Beds were comfortable, and the main living space was spacious enough for all of us to gather comfortably together in the evenings. The oven was a little difficult to use with the igniter out, but we made it work for the few meals cooked. Overall a gem of a place!

Our second year staying there. Clean and well stocked. WiFi was easy to access. Beds were very comfortable and with all the windows and fans we were able to keep the house cool without the AC, but it was great to have if we needed it. A wonderful place for us to relax and enjoy the waterfront.

The property was as described. It was a beautiful view of Union River Bay. It provided dramatic sunrises. All amenities worked as described. It was very comfortable for 4 adults. A bonus, Perry's Lobster Shack is a short walk from the property. A great place to get lobster with a panoramic view!

Absolutely amazing view and location! You just can’t beat that. House is functional and comes with needed necessities. You will need to pack your patience though when it comes making coffee, toast or meals as all the appliances are dated. Maine is a wonderful place and Surry is a small, quiet town which was welcomed.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to do, while being removed enough for peaceful mornings and evenings. Sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous and we enjoyed the abundance of wildlife on the drive to the house each day.

This is a peaceful place to stay while near all the chaos of Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. The house is wonderful with great views of the bay through the windows of this place. It was a pleasure waking up to the bright sunshine of a new day here. We loved everything about this home!

This was an excellent base for going into Acadia National Park every day. The house was on the water, which made it relaxing. Was not close to town, but that made it quiet and private. House had everything we needed.

This is a beautiful home with beautiful views! The beds were very comfortable and is equipped with everything you would need and more. We enjoyed the deck with the gas fire pit. Cheri was very responsive in answering questions. The location was convenient and we loved Blue Hill Blaze. Perry’s was not open for the season yet.

We absolutely loved staying at Idle Hour II for so many reasons. The only mild complaint we had was the lack of a grill for outdoor cooking, but thought maybe it was an insurance thing. Everything else was great! The cottage was comfy and the maritime decor was cute. The showers were great, the beds were comfy, and the living room was incredibly spacious. We enjoyed the rocking chairs while looking out onto the bay, and the deck chairs were very nice to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine during sunset. The owners have a very special place there in Surry and we cannot wait to visit again! Thank you!
