About this property

Pukeko Cottage - Marlborough Sounds Retreat

Its location makes it a hidden gem for those seeking peace and adventure, where you can watch the tide rise to your doorstep from the comfort of the fully enclosed deck.

The expansive lawn provides plenty of room for children to play, and at low tide, the mudflats become a playground for little adventurers. Step inside to a cosy living space that complements the stunning natural surroundings, with plenty of seating for relaxation. The open-plan dining and kitchen area ensures the whole family can gather together, and off-street parking for four vehicles adds extra convenience.

Three comfortable bedrooms inside the main house. With lockable gates at both ends of the deck, parents can rest easy knowing the outdoor areas can be secured for their little ones.

Whether you're here for sea kayaking, exploring the Queen Charlotte Track, or just unwinding with a local wine tour in Blenheim, Pukeko Cottage is the perfect base. Only minutes away from local attractions and a 10-minute walk to a public jetty and small beach, you'll have plenty to explore just steps from the door.
As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

A small mooring is available upon request.

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

Book elsewhere. The ‘cottage’ was not fit for purpose. On arrival there was an overwhelming smell of disinfectant which we realised must have been an attempt to disguise mouse droppings. The whole place was subprime. Don’t be fooled by the images. The sofas are torn and sag to the extent that you’re nearly on the floor. The kitchen is adequate but we had to wash several dishes that had ingrained grime before they could be used. Outside, the table , was broken and dangerous with a loose plank annd raised nails, the overgrown roses tore our clothing. Windows were filthy and covered in cobwebs. The mattress in one bedroom needs to be thrown away. This was not a restful haven, it was a holiday nightmare
