Rick was excellent in communicating with us about the property, entry directions, what to expect, and how to get there. The location is very private with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and a couple of bear sightings.
This cabin is awesome! The view from the decks is incredible and the drive to/from the property is too. This place has all the comforts of home and is a great place to getaway and relax. If you want to visit Asheville or other towns in the area, they're just as short drive away. A surprise bonus is the waterfall in the Gateway Mountain neighborhood - well worth the short walk to visit! 10/10!!!

Wonderful and relaxing time at the Lazy Moose!
I treated my Mom to a fun Labor Day weekend in the mountains! We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Lazy Moose! We enjoyed coffee in the mornings and wine in the afternoon/evening on the covered porch with the most amazing views! The house is in a great location with easy access to both Lake Lure and Black Mountain. The house was also easily accessible - although it is located on some mountain roads we did not have any issues getting up the mountain. Rick was an outstanding host and was extremely accommodating and helpful! I'm looking forward to booking another stay at The Moose!!
