The open-concept living room is the centrepiece of the home. Large-format sailing photography wraps the walls, a vintage 40-inch stainless-steel sailboat helm wheel anchors the space, and a wood-burning cast-iron stove creates a warm atmosphere on cooler evenings. A telescope sits beside the bay-facing sliding doors for stargazing after dark, while the doors themselves invite in fresh bay breezes and the gentle sounds of nature. It forms part of a waterfront estate where the owner may be present in the separate main residence; however, guest accommodations and living spaces are entirely independent. The deck is the designated outdoor space for guests; the surrounding grounds and waterfront area are private to the main residence.
Cyclists bringing valuable bikes needn’t worry—a dedicated bicycle stand and rolling security gate at the driveway entrance provide additional peace of mind on what is, in any case, a quiet dead-end lane where little happens after dark beyond the calls of the wild.
