Clean and cool. Comfortable beds. Close enough to Asheville but remote enough to enjoy the night sky.Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Local gas station is a mini-grocery store so we didn't have to go back to town to get food.Definitely considering for the future.
Enjoyed our stay at this house. We were day hiking on the AT and the house met all our needs based on location. A very good value and the owner was very good to work with.
Your house provided the perfect location for us to spend time with our family who lives nearby. The house was welcoming and comfortable for us all, ages 69 to 1.5. Thank you for such a beautiful setting for us to be together.
We were in the area for a college visit and soccer camp at nearby Mars Hill University. The house reminds me of going to stay at grandma's for the weekend. It's so quiet and comfortable.
Annette was welcoming from the moment we booked. She responded to all inquiries in a timely manner. The property was just as described and we had all of the necessities we needed. We did not have cell service so it was great to have WIFI available. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away and enjoy the mountain view.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Quaint and quiet
The property owner was great with communication and advice on things to do in the area. There was plenty of room in the house for 5 of us, not feeling crowded a bit. The heated toilet seat was great and beds were comfortable. Besides some crumbs in the couches and an odd smell in the laundry room bedroom, the house was safe and the evening noises of the stream, frogs and locusts made it a relaxing place to stay. Thanks Annette!
Nice place exactly as described. Annette was always there and very quick to respond, when we had any questions.
The town is very nice away from it all and yiu can see the mountains frm the backyard. Did not chance get a chance to use the firepit, but would have been great with the mountaineous backdrop.
Also, Annette was very kind and generous to offer to shi back something that we had forgotten. So grateful to her for that.
Pros: The house was cozy in a farmland setting with a deck in back, covered back porch, and open front porch. We were very comfortable there.
Cons: The housekeeper didn’t do a great job as the microwave had food bits all over and my sister had to clean the bathroom sink to use it.
There was no Internet and we tried to watch the television in the family room/living room and could not get anything to come in.
Nice spacious home. Three porches (one small one thats screened) Close enough to Asheville to commute if you desire, but far enough away to feel secluded. Expansive hiking trails in the "neighborhood. " Host was very thoughtful
My only complaint was that there was no mention of a live electrical fence being in use in the back yard (likely for the cattle in the field behind the property) and my dog managed to shock himself pretty decently while exploring in the fenced area of the back yard so just be mindful of that
Annette was an awesome host. If you want a clean, private, secluded, fully appointed space in the middle of all the North Carolina mountains, this is it. We cook breakfast and pack a lunch when we do a getaway trip. Annette’s kitchen, with the grill out back, fits the bill, just bring your food and specialty items. The beds are comfortable, the living room accommodating. We used the fire pit out back every night, while we viewed an incredible star lit sky. There are two resident red tail hawks that you will see almost daily. The screech owls and hound dogs give you the authentic out back feel. Convenience store gas stations are 5 miles away, across from the carp fishing pond. You’re one hour from Mount Mitchell, an hour and a half from Grandfather Mountain. We spent 3 days and nights and only touched the surface of the mountain adventure. Stay here…. You won’t be disappointed.
Our stay was short but wonderful! The home is cozy and located in the heart of the mountains. Check in process was smooth and communication was prompt and clear!
I enjoyed returning to this rental house and being with family again. That’s a perfect location and a great house for entertaining my grandchildren. The owner was very responsive and helpful and communicates well. The views of mountains are spectacular!
The house was neat and clean and inviting. Great location: close to town, but far enough away to give you that secluded feeling. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the view was beautiful.
We enjoyed our stay while celebrating a friend's graduation in Leicester. The house was so cozy and welcoming. Annette was very responsive to all messages sent.
The house was perfect for our family of four. The location was where we needed to be to visit the Mars Hill Campus and visit Asheville. Communication with the owner was easy.
This is a great place to stay with a family. It is convenient to Asheville, Weaverville, and Mars Hill. The kids enjoy seeing the cows in the fields and the fire pit for marshmallows.
