Once a storefront church, later renovated as an architecture office. Eleven foot ceilings, painted wood floors. Filled with natural light from a wall of north facing laminated glass, etched up to eye level for privacy. Separate Bedroom area with king size memory foam mattress, and living room with pull-out couch. Full bathroom with tub/shower, walk-in closet, and a brand new kitchenette. Modern plumbing and electrical, central heating, great night lighting. Mostly new furnishings.
There is a lot of north-facing glass, and most has black-out window coverings. No privacy issues, but for those who want complete black-out shades on every window, this isn't for you.

Why they chose this property

I was thirty years old, recently graduated from architecture school. This was a beautiful 1906 craftsman with a storefront church added to the front. It had had a fire and been abandoned with the rain coming in for years. I didn't want to see it torn down, and it was the only thing I could afford to buy. So I renovated enough to move in, and then little by little over the years upgraded and replaced everything except the charm.
