Perfect little stay

This gite is perfectly placed for all D Day beaches and places of interest. A good, quiet place to come back to and reflect. It was beautifully clean and well presented and the hosts gave us a warm welcome & a lovely arrival gift.

Quiet in a small hamlet

Nice property very well situated for the Bayeux Tapestry and D day beaches. Very clean and well presented. We had a nice bottle of local apple juice to welcome us. Very tasty.

The cottage is nestled in the heart of the Norman countryside, so it took a little navigating to find its location (Google maps seemed confused about how to get there). Nonetheless, we enjoyed the quaint, rural setting, and we were able to use the cottage as a base to make day trips to D-Day sites, Mont St. Michel, and both Bayeux and Caen. The property is constructed in a traditional Norman style, while still having modern amenities throughout. The property owners live on site, in an end unit, which allowed them to respond to questions, in person, in only a matter of seconds. They keep the property in excellent condition. We were able to meet the owners during our stay and they were both very pleasant and helpful. Given the opportunity, we would definitely stay again.
This chapel is just up the road.
The surrounding area is agricultural.

Hallo, es war guter und erholsamer Urlaub in der Normandie. Wir hatten eine sehr liebe Familie als Gastgeber mit toller Unterstützung.Eine Idee für eine Verbesserung. Wir waren mit Hund, jedoch gab es außer der verbauten Terrasse keine Auslaufmöglichkeiten für den Hund und der Platz der Terrasse war eingeschränkt. Vltt kann man es um ein Stück garten erweitern, dann wird die Urlaubsqualität noch erhöht.Mfg Familie Jacob

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het huisje. Super veel mooie dingen gezien en gedaan. Kanoën in Zwitsers Normandië was erg leuk. De stranden mooi en de dorpjes prachtig. Het huisje was een fijne uitvalsbasis om de streek te ontdekken. We hebben heerlijk geslapen en de douche en wc op iedere kamer is heerlijk. Het is een knus huisje beneden. De keuken is wat klein om te koken voor 4 personen en er missen wat spullen daarvoor.We werden warm verwelkomd met een welkomstcadeautje. Onze hond heeft het ook fijn gehad. Vooral de avondwandelingen aan het strand met de prachtige zonsondergang!

Bonjour, Nous sommes ravis que la maison ait répondu à vos attentes et que vous ayez pu profiter pleinement de votre séjour pour découvrir notre belle région. Nous sommes également heureux que l’accueil qui vous a été réservé ait été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Nous sommes toutefois désolés si la cuisine vous a semblé un peu petite pour cuisiner à quatre et si certains ustensiles vous ont manqué. Nous restons toujours preneurs de retours afin de nous améliorer, même si, malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas pousser les murs pour agrandir la cuisine. Nous souhaitons néanmoins attirer votre attention sur un point important. Une cuisine plus compacte ne signifie pas qu’elle doive être malmenée. Nous avons constaté, à votre départ, que le logement avait été rendu dans un état qui ne correspond pas aux standards attendus : vaisselle sale laissée dans l’évier, four utilisé sans protection et non nettoyé, poubelles non vidées alors que cela est précisé dans le livret d’accueil. Nous accueillons les animaux de compagnie avec grand plaisir, et nous sommes heureux que votre magnifique compagnon ait pu profiter des plages. Toutefois, lors d’un séjour de 10 jours, un minimum d’entretien nous paraît nécessaire, d’autant que balai et aspirateur sont à disposition. Bien au calme, le logement est bien situé pour visiter toutes les plages du débarquement ainsi que les villes/villages autour, de Honfleur et la Pointe du Hoc. Les 2 chambres avec salle de bains privative étaient parfaites pour 4 personnes, et le salon était très confortable. La cuisine est petite mais fonctionnelle, même s’il manquait quelques outils pour être parfaite (un lave-linge aurait été très utile, mais difficile à caser dans la place disponible !). La petite terrasse était également un plus.

Loger au gite de la Poste nous a permis de nous reposer dans un environnement très calme et de visiter la region facilement. Il est situé non loin de Bayeux et de tous les lieux à visiter.

EXCELLENT gîte. Il y a bcp de points positifs comme les 2 chambres équipées chacune d'une cabine de douche et de toilettes séparées. Quelques manques (couteaux à steaks, seche-serviettes, valets ou chaises et lampes de chevet dans les chambres) Mais le gîte vient d'ouvrir récemment ... Sinon endroit bien calme et bien situé pour les visites aux alentours. Merci encore !!!

Gîte tout confort, au calme, à proximité de Bayeux et Port en Bessin. Nous y avons passé des vacances en famille, idéal pour les balades et les visites (la fabrique des caramels d'Isigny sur mer vaut le détour !) A recommander ! Merci à Quentin pour son accueil 🙂

Aangenaam verblijf in comfortabel huisje

Rustig en goed gelegen vakantiehuisje voor het maken van uitstappen in de streek, wat we elke dag hebben gedaan. Perfect geregeld en goede ontvangst door de eigenaars met een lekkere attentie ter verwelkoming. Klein keukentje maar al wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Elke kamer heeft zijn eigen douche en WC, heel praktisch. Wifi en 4G wordt soms onderbroken maar dat ligt aan de regio en is overmacht, wij hadden zelfde ervaring op andere plekken in Normandië. Heel belangrijk : ons hondje was ook welkom, een noodzaak voor ons. Gilliane en Quintin zijn trouwens grote dierenliefhebbers. Ook belangrijk : ruime parkeermogelijkheid aan overzijde van de straat, volledig in de natuur. We hebben genoten van ons weekje verlof.
