After a long day of adventure, return to enjoy an evening listening to song birds, watching for wildlife, and taking in the beautiful Black Hills. As day turns to night, star gazing is made easy without the interference of artificial lights. If you are looking for more adventure, access to the Black Hills National Forest trails, and The Mickelson Trail are both located within a mile of the property.
Feel free to bring your side by sides or motorcycles. We have plenty of additional space for trailers. We also have a 50 amp full hook up RV site available. We do not rent the RV space on a regular basis. It is reserved for friends and family meeting up or traveling together.
Departing Argyle Acres in any direction leads to amazing Black Hills adventures. We are centrally located between Custer State Park, (the Nation's second largest state park,) Wind Cave National Park, and Jewel Cave National Monument. These locations are among the most popular attractions in the Black Hills. Hot Springs to the south offers the Mammoth Site, (an active archeological dig,) and Moccasin Springs, (a natural mineral spring and spa.) Traveling north you will find Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore Memorial. If day trips are of interest to you, Badlands National Park to the East, and Devils Tower National Monument to the West are well worth the trip.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie & Doug

Hello, we are Debbie and Doug Moore from O-H-I-O. In December of 2016 we made the choice to begin the enormous task of downsizing in preparation for living a full time RV life style and traveling the country. In 2017 we hit the road! We were able to experience the most amazing adventures. During 2020 and all of the unknowns that came with it, we decided we should come off the road. We knew in our hearts that South Dakota was the place for us. The Black Hills offers everything we were looking for. A quiet simple life full of the great outdoors!
Now that we have settled into life as South Dakotans, we enjoy our new favorite activity of hitting the trails in our side by side. We get to see the Black Hills in a totally new and different way. We also have taken on jobs in the tourist industry and love meeting people from all over the world.
We cherish our life together, and embrace all that is new and awe inspiring. Life is a journey with one adventure after another. We are excited to share our home with you and all that is South Dakota!

Why they chose this property
We were drawn to the peace and quite of the property. We love the wide open space and the views of the Black Hills. Our favorite activities are sitting out on the deck siping on a beverage looking for wildlife, watching beautiful sunsets and star gazing. On occasion we can watch a mesmerizing storm pass over the Black Hills. Each day is beautiful and different in its own special way.
What makes this property unique
The country setting and beautiful views bring a sense of calm to reset and recharge. The wide open space allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the day. Depending on the time of year you may see the property filled with wild flowers. Deer often visit the property, and in the fall you may see elk. Rabbits are often found playing around the cabin. The sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are a bonus each day.
