Great place to stay when in the Black Hills. Small but cozy. Does not have a great view but is located in a good place to access Needles Hwy and Custer State Park.
Cabin was perfect for a short getaway. Everything we needed as we spent most of our time hiking, so just needed a home base to sleep and relax. Was greeted upon arrival to make sure we got in ok. Very nice people. The only drawback of this place is you share the grounds with RV/Permanent Campers, but they were not a disturbance at all. Just wish that was a bit more upfront when booking. Otherwise great place and close proximity to everything we wanted to do.
We stayed for about a week. The place was clean/comfortable and it is a nice central location for Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park/Wind Cave. Hidden gem is the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs. Cabin did not have enough pots and pans though we didn’t think to ask owner for some. He was a really nice guy. Photos are accurate. If you’re going to sit out a lot you may look for a place with a few more trees.
This cozy little cabin was perfect for 4 adults and 2 teenagers! Its centrally located, clean, very affordable and the hosts were very friendly and made sure you had every thing we needed and even followed up to make sure the stay was going well! The loft is not tall so if you are an adult and tall stay on your knees! Lol!!!Great for the kiddos though!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Cabin was nice and clean! Paul and Tiffany were super responsive to any needs. Beds were good, but would have loved fluffier pillows. We had hoped for a little more green space. Overall worked well for our family.
Nice, simple cabin with the necessary amenities. Great location and close to the must-sees. Owner is friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
We booked our trip quite last minute so we were happy to find a cabin so close to everything we wanted to see. We have 4 kids aged 6-14 and the loft worked for them all. Truly an easy place to just sleep after a day of exploring. Hosts were very responsive & helpful.
It is a simple cabin with a modern interior and very clean with all the amenities we needed.
The host was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
It was located nicely to all the places we wanted to go.
We were only 2, so we did not use the loft which had low ceiling and sort of half steps up.
It was very clean and a cute cabin. There was an issue with the door due to the moisture (recent rain) but other than that, it was great. I would stay again.
The place was clean. It is located right off of a highway, so that is nice. The kids enjoyed the loft. It was nice to have them sleep in a separate area if adults wanted to stay up longer. The beds were comfortable.
The cabin was very clean! It's in a nice location compared to all the parks and Mt Rushmore. Not much traffic around and quiet even though it is next to the small airport. The loft is not adult friendly, the stairs were hard to navigate and you can't stand up straight. The kids loved it though! Overall, very happy with our stay.
The cabin was just what we needed to relax at night after exploring the black hills. Close to Mount rushmore, crazy horse, custer, needles highway, etc. I expected the lift area to be slightly bigger, but it was a fun sleeping area for my kids.
The door was a little sticky but I was warned beforehand by the manager. The cabin was very nice. It had everything in it. It smelled nice and was clean. I 100% recommend staying here. The fire pit was very nice and the grill was very nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Our party of 3 enjoyed every minute of our stay. Paul was super friendly and responded to our questions right away. The highlights were enough sleeping space, large kitchen and bathroom, centrally located (5 mins away from Custer city, close to Custer State park, Hill City, Rushmore and Windcave National Park), great communication with the owner/manager.
Glad we canceled the hotel booking and stayed here. We will stay at Pauls cabin again if we visit SD.
This was a great little cabin for our family of 5 for a quick stay in Custer. Just 2 miles outside of Custer, easy to get to and easy to get to the various things we wanted to see. It had everything we needed, and it was very clean! Communication was very prompt when we needed something. Our kiddo left something behind, and the owners were very prompt and very kind in helping us to remedy the situation! So much appreciated! We will definitely stay in this cabin again if we are ever in the area!
The cabin was very clean, it had everything listed in the description. The area was quiet and was located close to downtown Custer. We were a little shocked that the cabins are on the edge of the small RV park, which is not shown in the picture. But, is was very quiet, so that wasn't an issue. There was very brief interaction with the host The only things that we were somewhat disappointed with were the down stairs bed was hard as a rock and the pictures of the loft area shows that the beds were at least a box spring and mattress. There were three mattresses only laying on the floor. But, overall it was a nice stay. For a small family on a budget, i would recommend it. Side note, the stairs are very steep going into the loft.
