This is a factually untrue review and the root her anger is from the guest’s unreasonable request to have a late 5pm check out. She made the request after she booked and a month before her check-in. We had another guest checking in that same day so we were unable to accommodate such request. I offered a full refund which she did not accept. Also, no other Vrbo host nor hotel would accommodate such request. The latest check out most hotels give is 12pm, so the guest had unrealistic expectations to begin with which where this review is stemming from. Naples Park is going through massive construction as many people are moving here from the North. This just confirms what a great place this is. The home has impact glass windows which block out the noise and we have had 9 other guests stay in our home since construction started with no complaints. They actually have paused construction on the home behind us for several weeks. So this is all factually untrue. We have dinnerware sets to accommodate 8 guest (8 of each - large plates, small plates, bowls, and mugs). We also have 8 wine glasses (4 stemmed and 4 stemless). The guest could not drink her wine from a stemless wine glass and requested I send her two more “stemmed” wineglasses which as an abnormal request that I accommodated immediately. Our policy is very clear that we charge for additional guests over 4. The guest only put 4 people on the reservation which did not trigger the additional charge. She later informed me after booking that her son’s girlfriend will join the reservation (despite her disapproval of the girlfriend joining their family vacation). I naively allowed the 5th guest without charging her our fee. She also questioned the number of bikes we had as she wanted enough bikes for her family. At the time I only had two bikes but I bought two additional so her family would not have to rent bikes on their vacation. As she admitted, I went above and beyond to accommodate many unreasonable requests which other hosts would not have done (including hotels). My best parting advice to this guest is to stay at hotels going forward.

During their visit, the guest told us they were having a great experience and expressed no concerns. We promptly resolved their only request, and they thanked us. They chose to leave one day early for a personal reason and later requested a refund for the unused night. As outlined in our listing, we do not provide refunds for early departures. No specific concerns were communicated to us, and no additional details were provided in the review. We remain committed to providing a responsive and high quality experience for all guests.
