The house is so lovely and the property very peaceful. It was a great place to celebrate graduation and Mother’s Day The property manager, Mr. Lawrence, was gracious and friendly and a wealth of information!
My husband and our 1 year old daughter had a wonderful stay. The home is close to everything and has everything you may need. Would love to stay again.
We stay at the cottage the last week of March and it was amazing! The location is close to the village centers of Newcastle and Demariscotta. The views from the sun porch is wonderful. The house was spotless and very comfortable. It was so quiet too! The best place I’ve ever stay at!
Me and my father stayed for a long weekend and the cottage was fantastic. David gave us a great tour of the place and told us everything we needed to know. Amazing views out of the porch windows. We enjoyed watching the diver ducks. The cottage was very well stocked and so conveniently located near Rt. 1. Town is also less than 10 minutes away by car. Oysterhead pizza, Best Thai and Roundtop Ice cream were favorites during our visit. We hope to be back one day!
Manager David was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. Property was beautiful and immaculately taken care of. Will definitely be back!
Host very responsive, and with the snow storm he provided snack food as restaurants in the area were closed. Comfortable, welcoming, clean, - just what we needed
Our stay here was magical! Communication with David was a breeze from the start. Due to flight times from Florida, we arrived in the evening, but he was there to greet us with his warm smile & friendly demeanor. The cottage is ideal! You will think you stepped into a "Maine Cottages" magazine. It is well equipped, and was capable of hosting our "Lobstah Boil" with 20 guests, a live Jazz Saxophonist & a keyboard player! The views can't be beat. Want to kayak? Want to canoe? Conveniently located to restaurants, shopping, The Hannaford, and anything else your heart desires. David has you covered! We're already looking at dates to return!!
I know the area very well but never would have known what this beautiful property had to offer from driving by all my life!David was a very welcoming host and easy to reach/helpul.House is immaculate and very well equipped with anything you could need. Beautiful mornings onthe sun porch with a bald eagle!will come back next year!
Beautiful cottage with an amazing view of the bay. Great porch where we spent most of our time. Very convenient to Damariscotta. Great setting for two couples.
My friend and I are writers, and we came to this cottage to work on our books. It was the perfect location with the sunrise views over the water from the magnificent porch. The cottage was exceptionally clean, cozy, and beautiful. We had one small hiccup with the heat, but the manager, David, showed up immediately and the problem was rectified promptly. I loved it and we would absolutely stay there again.
Beckoning Bay cottage is a warm and welcoming place to relax and enjoy time with family. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and David, the host, is easy to communicate with and more than kind. The big porch is absolutely beautiful, and we spent a good deal of time watching the ducks and geese. There are many trails to choose from for walking nearby. We would not hesitate to book one of David’s properties again in the future.
We were having a delightful stay until we noticed that there was no heat but from the fire place. Unfortunately, we had to leave in the middle of our stay. Vrbo gave us a refund. I would stay there again. Lovely and sunny. Excellent Property Manager.
The property is well located with a great view of the bay / river. David was super helpful before and during our visit helping offer ideas on things to do and places to visit. He really enhanced our trip...
The cottage had all of the amenities of home and was styled beautifully. We loved sitting on the dock or by the firepit watching horseshoe crabs, eagles, kingfishers and sea birds. David was a wonderful host.
Very quant and quiet location. Very clean and well kept! The owner was easy to contact and even toured the property with us so we knew where everything was! 5 star!!
We have stayed in several places in Maine over the years and we finally have found our favorite. It has a great view over the water with a dock for kayaking and the wonderful large porch where we spent most of our time. The house is very well stocked and equipped, which made our stay so easy. Damariscotta is a great central location for visiting sights and our friends in the area and the house is close to this fun town but in a quiet spot. We are looking forward to our stay next year.
Had a great short stay in Newcastle. David is a peach to deal with. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and restore, this is the place for you.
